Surrogate Just Gave Birth To Twin Babies.

For a number of reasons, some couples are unable to have a child. There may be a medical condition or even just fertility problems. When couples are in situations like this, they often turn to surrogates for aid. However, for one couple this was not an option. In China, hiring a surrogate is illegal. One Chinese couple kept running into difficulties having a child. They knew a surrogate could streamline the process so they moved to the U.S. and hired one. Jessica Allen was hired for an initial $30,000.
This was until Jessica went to her first ultrasound and discovered that she was actually carrying twins. The couple raised her pension adding an extra $5,000 to compensate for the newly discovered second baby. After 38 weeks, Allen delivered the babies on December 12, 2016. Perhaps to her dismay, the newly born were immediately whisked away before Allen could even get a glimpse of them. She went home to her husband and continued on with her life. Then, she received a text from the couple she had just delivered for.
They said that one of the twins was clearly Chinese and the other was clearly not. It was clear that they were not identical twins. The couple had done a DNA test and discovered that only the Chinese child was theirs. The other child was Allen’s and had somehow been conceived after the other couple’s embryo egg had been implanted.
The couple wanted nothing to do with Allen’s child. They planned to put him up for adoption and additionally demanded $22,000 dollars in compensation. They no longer were willing to pay for the child’s development as it wasn’t theirs. Jessica had just moved to a new house with her partner and had little savings at the moment. She was forced to take out a loan to get her child. Luckily, they made it back to each other. She named him Malachai but this is not where the story ends….

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

A Big Hole Showed Up In This Water.

California’s Napa County is well known for its wine industry and beautiful scenery. Between its lush green rolling hills and wildflower covered valleys, it easily ranks among one of the most naturally picturesque places in America. There is so much to see and explore throughout the area and when the timing is right, one of the main attractions can be found at Lake Berryessa.
The seventh largest man-made lake in California is held back by the 304 foot tall Monticello Dam and is home to the famous “Glory Hole” spillway. Sitting just yards away from the concrete lip of the dam, the spillway is funnel shaped just like how a morning glory flower is, hence the name.
At the opening and widest point, it measures 72 feet across before narrowing down to approximately 28 feet as it drops straight down two-hundred vertical feet! Once it reaches the bottom it bends ninety degrees and then straightens out before eventually draining out on the other side of the dam into Putah Creek.
The last time the spillway was in action was well over a decade ago and with the ongoing drought conditions that California has been experiencing it was expected to be awhile before it ever saw any use again. All of that changed recently when January and February brought record amounts of rain to the region and raised the lake’s water capacity to near maximum levels!
The sudden influx of so much water in such a short span of time meant that the glory hole was finally back in action and on February 16, 2017 the edge of it was officially runneth over! You have to check out this awesome drone footage to see what it looks like when thousands of cubic feet of water per second rush down the hole!
It’s unbelievably mesmerizing and hypnotic and the power of the spillway is truly a wonder to behold. At one point in the footage the drone operator let it get a little too close to the hole and it almost ended up being sucked down into the dark depths. Check it out because this is something you don’t get to see all that often and it’s super neat.

This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

Kids truly do say the darnedest things and if you have a child you can personally attest to this. Children are like sponges that just pretty much absorb anything and everything in their environment. Their little brains and minds are constantly making new neural connections which help them navigate through a very large and confusing world. Sometimes this curiosity and innocence can get them into some pretty sticky situations that while funny can get them into a bit of trouble.
Children are taught to call 911 in case of emergencies from an early age. They learn that the best way to get immediate help in the face of danger or an urgent crisis is by dialing those three numbers. However, what a young child considers an emergency can often be at odds with what is an actual one requiring police or medical assistance. There are many stories of kids who call 911 for problems that fall well short of a life-threatening situation, you may even have one yourself.
While oftentimes they get scolded by the operator for mis-using the line, sometimes the person on the other end is understanding and happy to help them out. That was the case when a four year old boy named Johnny decided to call 911 for help with his math homework.
He was struggling with take aways, aka subtraction, and in his mind this was a homework emergency that could be solved by talking to the police! Realizing his innocence, instead of reprimanding him the dispatcher decided to talk to Johnny and walk him through some of his homework.
Their adorable conversation is suddenly interrupted when Johnny’s mother asks him who he is talking to. He innocently tells her the policeman is helping him with his math problems and that she told him “if I need help to call somebody.”
Naturally his mom is less than pleased with what’s going on and she can be heard in the background exclaiming “I didn’t mean the police.” That’s where the audio clip ends so while we can’t be sure as to what happened next, it’s safe to assume Johnny’s mom laid down the law and told him not to call the police ever again for math or any kind of homework help!

These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

It is wonderful to have our homes smell good, and scented candles became very popular over the last decade. That is, until it was discovered that many of these candles and scented sprays contain really dangerous chemicals, that can cause permanent lung damage.
I, myself, have stopped using those candles that I used to love, because of the inherent health hazard they carry. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

Back in the 1890’s a man named John Dagget was in charge of the San Francisco Mint where they made coins. He was so proud of his creation that he handed these 24 dime pieces to 7 friends and to his daughter.
Dagget told his little girl, to not ever use this dime because one day he believed it would be worth a lot. Sadly, his young daughter had a bit of a sweet tooth and spent her S Barber Dime on some ice cream! So long story short, that ice cream she bought that day was worth $1.9 million dollars and the dime is still out there today..
Also, one of his friends he gave the S Barber Dime to also spent his dime because he really didn’t think it was worth anything and he needed some change so he just used it. Knowing that these two spent these ridiculously high valued coins and they have yet to be discovered means they are still in circulation.
There are a few other dimes that were made during this time period as well that are worth much less than $1.9 million but they are still worth a lot and would be worth your time to check your piggy bank, purse or wallet to see if you possibly have any of these.

For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

It can even be used to straighten clothes if an iron isn’t available. These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.
