The human brain can be split into two parts; the left side and the right side. The following is a general breakdown of some of the main characteristics that each side is most often connected with:
Left-brain dominant people are said to be more analytical, objective, and logical thinkers. They’re good at solving math and similar types of logic-oriented problems, which often leads to them quickly learning and excelling at new things. They like to delve deep into scientific pursuits and plan things out in advance, making to-do lists and checking up on their progress as they go.
In comparison, right-brain dominant people are more creative and expressive thinkers. They have strong imaginations and approach problems or issues with different, alternative types of solutions. They tend to be more spontaneous and emotional and often act on their feelings and intuition. Since they are more expressive they excel at artistic pursuits like painting and music.
People often self-identify as either a left-brain thinker or a right-brain thinker. They do this subjectively by going off of whatever side they assume they match up more with, in terms of the traits they believe they exhibit, but many times their educated assumption or guess is flat out wrong. What Color Is Your Shadow Self?

Just as there are two sides to every coin, there are two sides to every personality. Each of us is conscious of our own self in that we know how we act, what we do, and what’s going through our minds. At the same time, we are also unconscious of different parts of our personalities and at all times are unknowingly repressing them. This unconscious aspect of our dual personalities is called the shadow self. It has been analyzed and examined by some of the greatest minds of our time and the famous psychologist Carl Jung described it as being the dark side of our personality, hence the term ‘shadow self.’
He posited that this area of our personality is controlled by very basic, animal-type instincts and it’s plagued by uncertainty, doubt, and illogical thoughts. While it certainly sounds all dark and terrible, it’s not all doom and gloom. Our shadow self has a silver lining and can prove to be an asset for many of us.
That’s because it is believed to be a strong source of creativity for people who are able to positively tap into it. It’s also thought to be linked into the psychological reasoning for as to why mankind values life, society, and freedom so highly. There are many other beliefs surrounding the shadow self and different interpretations, definitions, and assumptions abound on the subject.
These are much more involved and multi-layered than what is mentioned here because it’s some really complex stuff! Now that you’re acquainted with what your shadow self is you can also see what color it happens to be. While this may sound strange, it’s not, because just like how our auras glow externally, our shadow self radiates colorfully internally!

The kids are soon getting back in school and will will be more time indoors and that means they need fun things to do and occupy their time with. Crosswords, video games, puzzles, play-doh, art and much more will be taking up lots of their indoor time. When you were a kid, on a rainy day or whenever you were stuck inside, there likely wasn’t anything better to do than to play with whatever you had on hand.
For many of us, that meant building awesome forts out of couches, blankets, brooms, pillows, and all sorts of other things that we gathered up. In the cartoon image below of two children playing and constructing a blanket fort while their cat looks on, there are a total of seven hidden words concealed among the details. However, this is not just an image, it also happens to be a video and once you click on the play button your challenge begins.
From start to finish you will have just under two minutes to find all seven words before they are highlighted and revealed towards the end of the clip. This Little Boy With an Eye Defect and Disorder Found a Cat Who Has His Same Condition.

Most of the population is aware of the genetic disorder and defect called Cleft Palate and Cleft Lip. This disorder happens when the baby is still a fetus in the mother’s womb and the dan and cellular structures don’t form exactly how they are supposed to.

In a perfect world everyone would be more accepting of people with disabilities, however kids and sometimes even adults can be mean and make of fun people who look or act different and are born with birth defects.

This brings us to today’s story featuring a young boy named Madden Humphreys and his mother Christina. Madden has 2 rare genetic disorders the first is called Heterochromia Iridium and he also has a Cleft Lip. Having both of these together is quite rare. Heterochromia Iridum causes a person’s eyes to be two completely different colors! This disorder is super rare but surprisingly also shows up in cats and dogs.

Only one percent of the human population has Heterochromia Iridium so you will rarely ever come across somebody who has it. For the most part although the eyes can long a little strange being such different colors, there usually aren’t any other health problems that are associated with it.

One day, his mom was just browsing the internet when she randomly came across a very special cat! Not only did this cat have Heterochromia Iridium but he also had a Cleft Lip; the exact same two defects her son has!

It seemed as if a miracle was unfolding before her eyes and destiny was bringing these two souls together. But, there was one huge problem that was holding destiny back! The Humphreys lived in Oklahoma, while the special cat was all the way up north in Minnesota. Money was also very tight for the Humphreys and they couldn’t afford a flight to Minnesota and a hotel and everything that comes with traveling.

Luckily, Christina has amazing best friends that she told about her situation. The friends all immediately chipped in to fund Christina for a fun road trip to pick up her son’s new best friend. They quickly hit the road, traveled across many states and finally arrived at the rescue shelter to find this very special and magical kitty.

Madden named his new friend Moon as soon as they arrived. His mother had never seen him this excited or happy before in his entire life. Madden didn’t have many friends and always felt secluded and alone; but now had a new best friend that would never leave his side.

A Cinnamon Gardening Life Hack Everyone Should Know

A little sprinkle of cinnamon has the ability to make all sorts of things taste better. The aromatic spice has long been used as a seasoning and flavor additive for foods and drinks, even the Romans added cinnamon to bitter wines to improve their taste profiles. Today it’s widely used in teas and alcoholic beverages, like the immensely popular and widely appealing Fireball whiskey. However, there are many other non-food related ways in which the power of cinnamon can be harnessed.
One such way is in the garden, or more specifically, when starting your indoor seedlings. A common problem that arises after young, newly planted seeds sprout is that a nasty fungus may develop alongside with them. The fungus can result in a condition called ‘damping off’ disease which is harmful to vulnerable seedlings because it can greatly weaken or kill them.
If you have ever seen a white, fuzzy, cottony, or mold-like substance growing around the plants and on their stems, it’s likely this unwanted pathogen. The fungus thrives in warm humid environments and that, in combination with using a starting mix that isn’t sterilize, can lead to your plants succumbing to damping off disease.
To combat the common issue, reach into your spice cabinet and take out the powdered cinnamon. Simply sprinkle a little bit of the aromatic spice onto the soil around the plants and it will work to protect your seedlings. Don’t over saturate the area, just a pinch will do, and if you get some on the leaves that’s fine. An alternative way that some gardeners also use is to add in the cinnamon when mixing up the potting soil.
However, since the fungus grows on the surface and plant stems, it works best to just sprinkle it on the top layer of soil. Cinnamon is used because it has anti-fungal properties which fight and protect against fungus from forming. At the same time, it doesn’t harm the delicate plants, and so it’s an ideal, effective, and all-natural way to help your seedlings grow.
For many people, the time is now to begin planting most vegetable seedlings. It’s not too late to try using some cinnamon on them and if you haven’t started yours yet, you better hurry before it’s too late, or you’ll have to buy them at a nursery!
