If You Have a Pair of Crocs, You Should Toss Them In The Trash Now.
Here we are in the heat of summer in many parts of the world, trying to stay cool and comfortable. As we navigate the imposing heat outside we not only wear more breathable clothes, but our footwear needs to allow our feet to breathe. Sandals have been the answer for hundreds, if not thousands of years…but they have evolved in modern times.
“Flip flops” have been around for many years, as well as the infamous “Crocs” that became the summer “go-to” more recently. For quite some time, the medical profession has warned about the dangers of flip flops, for the very reason people love them…ease of putting them on and slipping them off. They have now issued a serious safety warning about wearing Crocs as well, as an all day replacement for shoes.
When Crocs were introduced to the public, the company promoted them as not only comfortable, but actually possessing benefits for the feet that were therapeutic. They made these claims without any research to back them up. The problem lies in wearing these footwear all day, according to podiatrist Dr. Tom Beasley, because without containing a shank they provide no support for the foot. For children, who are still growing, the instability of Crocs can cause bone deformities and splayed feet. As children grow, so do their bones and tendons in their feet, requiring footwear that is supportive.
As you will hear in the VIDEO you are about to watch below, Crocs can pose the safety hazard of getting caught on ESCALATORS, causing serious injuries. There have been multiple reports of such injuries, resulting in law suits against the Crocs company. Unstable shoes like Crocs and flip flops have been known to get caught on gas pedals and brakes in cars as well, resulting in automobile accidents. After watching the footage below, let us know what you think about wearing this footwear out in the world.

If You Or Anyone You Know Has These Shoes You Need To Throw Them Out Immediately!
We all like footwear that is open and allows our feet to breathe in the heat of summer; sandals are in order, but many people love “flip flops” and “Crocs”…due to their comfort and ease of slipping on and off. Both flip flops and Crocs, however, have been seriously critiqued by the medical profession.
The Crocs company have made claims of therapeutic health benefits for the feet, that have not been backed up by any scientific data. According to Dr. Alex Kor, the president of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, any shoe that doesn’t contain the “shank”, which supports the entire arch of the foot, should not be worn for hours at a time. Neither flip flops nor Crocs contain a shank, and as such should be worn for a quick errand or to the beach only. Kors goes on to say that he sees patients complaining of severe arch and heel pain when Crocs are their primary footwear.
A podiatrist at the “Illinois Bone and Joint Institute”, Dr. Megan Leahy, says that because Crocs and flip flops leave the heel unstable, there is a tendency to grip on with the toes which eventually leads to “tendonitis, worsening of toe deformities, nail problems, corns and calluses”. The bottom line is that they can’t be worn for hours at a time without resulting in foot problems.
All this being said, you will hear about a further hazard of wearing flip flops and Crocs, in the VIDEO you are about to watch below. There have been case after case, of Crocs getting caught on ESCALATORS, and causing severe damage to both children’s and adults’ feet! They actually havethe potential for more serious consequences both on escalators and getting stuck on brakes in cars. Flip flops present the same hazards. Let us know what you think after watching the following footage.

This Pup Steps Into His Human’s Pair Of Crocs. His Next Move Is HILARIOUS!
With so much happening in our world and in our lives each day that is painful, you sometimes just need a moment of lightness, silliness, a giggle… The dog in this video you are about to watch, is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
We all love our dogs, regardless of the fact that they can be a mess, get into mischief and cause us to lose our patience. Regardless, the love we feel and get from them is indescribable. Some dogs need outerwear in the cold, and city dogs need footwear to protect their paws from salt on sidewalks.
Most dogs hate being put into clothing and footwear; it is just an unnatural state for them. But not Watson! This adorable boxer has a thing for people shoes, and I don’t mean chewing on them.
This hilarious footage, posted by his owner Enid Lemley, shows him walking in Crocs with a clunky stride that cracked me up! Apparently this talent isn’t limited to Crocs, he can do it with work boot too!

She Puts A Pair Of Shoes In The Freezer. The Reason Is Brilliant!
Have you ever had shoes that were too tight to wear comfortably for extended periods of time but you wore them anyway because they were cute or matched the occasion perfectly? Nothing is worse than suffering through the pain and discomfort that shoes too small can cause. Even if the pair “sorta” fit there is a trick you can do to get that extra breathing room and increase your toe space. Best of all it is simple, cheap and quick to do.
Simply take 2 plastic sandwich bags and fill each one a quarter of the way with water, put one in each shoe and place the shoes in your freezer. Leave them there long enough for the water to fully freeze before taking them out. The video suggests waiting 20 minutes for the ice to thaw a bit before taking the bags out of the shoes.
However, you can also break the ice with the end of a knife or utensil and avoid any potential damage the melting bags could cause, or even wiggle out the ice bag. Make sure you wipe off any water or residual moisture and try on the shoes to see how they now fit. If they need to be stretched more, simply repeat the process.
When water freezes and turns from liquid to solid it expands. The baggie filled with water stretches your shoe as the water becomes ice. Be careful to not over stuff your shoes because it could tear them.
This method works best on real leather but can also be used on fake leather and man-made materials. However, if you are going to use it on fake leather you will likely have to repeat this process several times because it tends to shrink back to it’s original shape.
In the end your shoes can be stretched out half of a size up to potentially one whole size. It is also a great way to break in a new pair of shoes quickly and painlessly. Your feet will thank you for the extra room and comfort.
On a related note, freezing shoes can also get rid of smelly odors. Put the shoes in a sealed bag and place them in the freezer. The cold temperature of the freezer will kill any odor causing bacteria. Also, if you step in gum toss your shoe in the freezer so that you can easily chip it off. The possibilities of freezing shoes are seemingly endless.

This Is The Reason You Should Check Inside Your Shoes Before Putting Them On. This Is Scary!
It’s the stuff nightmares are made of, especially if you happen to suffer from arachnophobia. Even if you aren’t among the estimated 3.5 to 6.1% of the population that is deathly afraid of spiders (source: Wikipedia), this video will likely make you feel more than a little squeamish. It comes out of Australia, the continent that’s known for being the home of more dangerous and deadly animals than any place else on Earth.
While the people living there are taught from an early age on about how to best avoid all of the dangers, the occasional wildlife run-in becomes inevitable sooner or later. This footage shows one of those panic-attack inducing moments and if you really hate spiders, avert your eyes and consider yourself warned.
The man filming explains that his young son had left his sneakers outside over the weekend. In Australia, such practice is never recommended as you never know what might take the opportunity to crawl up inside and make them its new home. Thankfully, dad knows best and before his son could stick his foot in the shoe, he checked it out first.
It turns out that the blue and orange sneaker contained a very unwelcome guest indeed, as was evidenced by the sticky mass of cobwebs that visibly reached deep down inside it. Alerted to the danger, dad wasn’t taking any chances and he thoroughly fumigated the shoe with a few good blasts of insect spray.
When no spider came crawling out, he grabbed a stick to poke around with and then suddenly out popped a large, shiny, black funnel web spider. Before he cuts the man ends the whole drama with a perfectly timed and humorously dry remark, “Welcome to Australia.” Eek!!
Funnel web spiders are among the most deadly spiders in the world because of their highly venomous bite. They love dark, moist areas and seek out tight spaces to burrow in, like a child’s shoe. Rather than run away and hide when they’re threatened or provoked, they act aggressive and will stand their ground and fight, often rearing up on their hind legs to better display their fangs.
When they do bite a person it’s often more than just once and it’s described as incredibly painful. If a male bites you, the venom he’s injecting into your body is almost six times more toxic than his female counterpart, which is why males are believed responsible for more severe cases and reported fatalities. Children are at a higher risk for funnel web spider bites because of their small size and about half of all annually reported cases involve kids.
