They Find a Helpless Newborn Fawn Lying In The Middle of The Street. But Then They Notice THIS.

Baby animals are just about the most precious little things in the world and fawns are no exception. The adorable tiny deer can be hard to spot because of their naturally camouflaged fur but thankfully that didn’t prevent Steve Knoop from noticing one in the middle of the road.

Steve and his friends had been driving down a scenic country road when they came across the newborn laying right in the middle of the road. It was mushed down in an odd, seemingly uncomfortable position that made it look like it’d been hit by a car and injured. Nevertheless, the men pulled over to the side so they could get a closer look and check it out and that’s when they noticed it wasn’t dead or hurt, it was healthy and had likely just been born!

The men deduced from the scene that this fawn was maybe just a few minutes old. The fact that its mother was nearby and the way it was positioned all pointed to this conclusion. Now the fawn was simply trying really hard to blend in with the pavement and not be noticed but instead it ended up sticking out like a sore thumb.

The men debated what they should do, leave it in the road or move it to safety, and end up deciding on the latter option. They don’t want to risk it getting run over by a car so one of them, Paul, gently scoops the newborn up and moves it off to the side of the road. Before he can even set it down the baby immediately jumps up and runs back to its mother’s side. The group erupts with joy at seeing the baby safe and reunited with its mother and one of them sums it all up best with the remark “That was awesome!” Agreed, yes it truly was.

Here’s a little more information on fawns and what to do if you should ever come across one: Fawns are easily identifiable since they’re born with white spots that dot their fur. These help to camouflage and keep them safe from predators all day long while their mothers are away foraging for food. If you ever see a baby fawn alone during the daytime the best thing you can do is leave it alone and not touch it. It’s almost guaranteed that the fawn is not orphaned or abandoned and mom is probably somewhere close by, she returns later in the day after it gets dark outside.

If you do need to handle or move the fawn for its safety, as in the video, you should use gloves and not move it very far. If you touch the fawn you should wipe the area off with a clean towel to remove as much of your scent as possible because it could cause the mother to reject the baby. Rub the towel in dirt first to lessen the human scent before wiping and then leave the fawn alone. Its mother will only come back to it when she feels completely safe and that could take well over a day, so give it plenty of time. Hopefully you learned something from all this but won’t ever have to use the knowledge!

Cops Drive Over a Bridge During a Torrential Downpour. Then They Notice THIS On The Road!

You are about to watch an incredible rescue recorded by a police car dash cam.  In a deluge of a thunderstorm, bridges can become very slick and dangerous.  Such was the case in Kansas City, as two police officers were driving over a bridge, when they noticed a deer struggling to maintain it’s footing while trying to get across!

It is heartbreaking to watch this deer, as the footage begins, completely lose all traction and end up rolling onto it’s back with little chance of getting up.  It hits the concrete divider, and as it seems unable to stand, you will see the officers  come out of their car to help.

Not only was the slickness of the bridge a disorienting obstacle course, but as the officers came close enough to see the deer’s condition, they found that one of it’s feet was stuck.  Dislodging the foot the officers said they expected the deer to bolt, which also could have resulted in tragedy.  You will hear Sergeant Steven Sandusky report to KMBC, his surprise, that the deer followed him like a dog would do, without a rope or to keep it by his side.  Watching this amazing rescue, as he guides the deer to safety, was such a relief and so touching.

Neglected Circus Lion Lived In an Old Pick Up Truck For 20 Years. Now Watch His Reaction When They Free Him!

The back of a rusty old pickup truck is no place for any animal to live, let alone a full grown lion. Sadly, that’s exactly where a mountain lion named Mufasa was forced to live his life as part of a traveling roadside circus in Peru.

While the details of Mufasa’s early life remain mostly unknown, it is believed that he had originally been born free in the wild somewhere in South America. He was likely stolen from his mother when he was still very young and sold into captivity shortly thereafter. Over the following 20 years he was mistreated and kept bound up in heavy metal chains while being forced to endure life on the road with the circus.

Life was anything but natural and comfortable for Mufasa. His captors brought him from one town to the next in the back of an old pickup truck, where he was further chained to some old rusty pieces of equipment. He barely had any room to move around and no bed or clean spot to lay on, just a dusty corner surrounded by metal bars and dirt. There was no shelter over his head to protect him from the elements and so the hot sun and pouring rain beat down on him The neglectful state he was held in was shockingly horrible and sad.

The circus that Mufasa was found with was believed to be the last of many in Peru which for years had been illegally using wild animals in their shows. The country recently changed the law and passed a circus animal ban in response to widespread abuse, cruelty, and the sub-par conditions in which most circus animals were kept. The ban made it illegal to keep and/or use animals in circus shows and authorities, with the help of animal advocacy non-profits, including Animal Defenders International (ADI), have been enforcing it strictly.

The ADI group had recently received a tip that the circus was still holding a mountain lion and they accompanied police and local wildlife officials to investigate it further. That’s when they found Mufasa chained up in the back of the truck. What followed was a long, strained eight hour standoff, but eventually the circus surrendered Mufasa and this video captures the emotional moment he was finally released from his heavy chains.

The elderly lion can be seen sitting quietly as he patiently waits for officials to cut the harness off and finally free him from a life of captivity and neglect. For the first time in perhaps 20 years he’s able to fully stretch himself out and perform the one action that cats of all types and breeds seem to love best.

Wildlife officials, with the help and support of the many volunteers who’d worked tirelessly to track down and free circus animal all across Peru, transported Mufasa to ADI’s Spirit of Freedom rescue center for rehabilitation. After he’d been checked out and deemed healthy enough to travel, he was taken on a 3 day journey into the Amazon rainforest to his new home.

Mufasa will live out the rest of his life at the Tambopata Reserve where he’s free to wander about his new habitat completely unchained. He no longer faces a life full of uncertainty and constant travel and there are no more people gawking at him. Instead, he finally has the chance to spend his final few years in the wild jungle where he’s protected and able to move about on his own, and that is beautiful.

This Bear Was Locked In a Rusty Cage For His Whole Life. Now Watch His Reaction When They Free Him!

After spending years locked away in a tiny metal cage this bear finally got to know what grass, dirt, and water feel like beneath his paws. The absolutely heartwarming, and breaking, moment took place after the bear, now named Tuffy, was rescued from a bile farm and brought to Animals Asia, a sanctuary in Vietnam.

Tuffy had been forced to live his entire life surrounded by metal bars in an extremely cramped cage that was barely large enough for him to fit in. Day in and day out he was tortured and abused so that his captors could extract bile from his gall bladder and sell it at a premium for use in traditional Asian medicines.

He didn’t have regular access to for or water and medical care was non-existent. The psychological and bodily trauma he went through are unimaginable and he was one of the lucky ones who got out and was given a second chance at living a normal life.

Tuffy was rescued along with five other bears in September of 2015. His first few months at the sanctuary were filled with rehabilitation and medical procedures. In particular his gall bladder was so badly damaged from all the bile extraction that it had to be removed!

Since metal bars were all he had to walk on, his paws were dry and deeply cracked. In addition, he was severely dehydrated and suffering from three fractured teeth. A dedicated veterinarian team worked tirelessly to restore him back to health and he was soon ready to move into his new home.

As you can see in the video his new habitat has all the creature comforts a bear could ever ask for, including a little pool to cool off and relax in. This clip captured Tuffy’s first few dips in the pond and he took to the water immediately, splashing and playing around in it like a little kid! It’s wonderful to see him happy and free for once and according to his caretakers he absolutely loves being outside. Instead of returning to his den that night, he spent the evening outside sleeping under the moon, stars, and wide open sky.

No living creature should spend their life in a cage being tortured and denied the simple pleasures life has to offer. At least Tuffy has the chance to live out his final years in peace and harmony among other bears at the sanctuary.

However, according to Animals Asia an estimated 1,200 bears remain trapped on bile farms in Vietnam and over 10,000 more are believed held in China. Help share his story and this video, it will make a difference and serve to help the many other bears stuck in this cruel situation that Tuffy was luckily rescued from.

These 2 Pups Got Trapped On a Boat Going Down Stream. But Watch Who Comes To Their Rescue.

Heroes come in many different forms and sometimes they turn out to be dogs! It seems that our faithful companions never cease to amaze us with their immense hearts and spectacular abilities. The brave Labrador in this video is no exception to that belief and when his friends got into a bit of trouble he did not hesitate to step right up and jump into action.

The group of three dogs were outside enjoying a day by the river with their owner when disaster suddenly struck. Two of the pups had hopped into a lightweight canoe that had been beached loosely on a gravel bar in the stream when a strong breeze came up and knocked it into the water. The current quickly picked it up from there and in the blink of an eye the canoe was headed downriver with the two dogs stuck inside it.

The poor animals seemed unsure about what to do and every move they made threatened to overturn the tipsy canoe. They were stuck on the runaway boat barking and whimpering up a storm when the third dog sprang into action. The Labrador Retriever had been across the river with the owner on the opposite bank when he was alerted to the situation by their cries.

Without hesitating the black lab leaped into the water and made a bee-line for his friends. It’s clear to see how powerful the current was flowing because the naturally strong swimming dog was working overtime just to get thought it. When he reached the side of the boat he took up a rope dangling over the side and towed his friends back to shore.

While it looks like a one-way rescue where the Lab in the water did all the work, it turns out that the dog in the front of the canoe played a major role in his own recovery effort as well. He dropped his leash over the side of the boat into the water so that the Labrador could grab onto it and pull them all back to safety and dry land.

It just goes to show what a clever, loyal, brave group of beautiful dogs they all are. Check it out and watch a real hero in action!

A Dog Was Drowning In The Raging Colombia Flash Floods. But Watch When The Cops Do THIS

This video captures the heart pounding moment that a dog was pulled from raging debris filled flood waters in Colombia. The lucky dog was spotted in the town of Salgar by the National Police of Colombia. He had fallen in the swollen Liboriana River and was in immediate danger of being swept away and drowned! The Officers ran along the bank and made several attempts to rescue him from the muddy, rubble, stone filled waters. Finally, on their third attempt they intercepted the battered and exhausted animal and managed to pull him out of the treacherous waters!

Once safely on shore, the police worked immediately to help revive the semi-conscious dog giving him CPR and, at one point, mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Their tireless and selfless efforts paid off with the dog surviving despite suffering minor injuries likely sustained from hitting rocks in the river.

He is expected to make a full recovery and is now referred to as “Prince” by the officers who saved him. The flash floods, heavy rains, and deadly mudslides in Colombia have been the worst natural disaster in over a decade. The officers risked their lives and health to save Prince, and deserve recognition for their unselfish, kind act of bravery. The National Police said that if his owner cannot be found, Prince is welcome to stay with them, and we bet he’d love that!
