Can You Spot The Hidden Dog In This Picture?
There is more than what initially meets the eye to this simple black and white drawing of an old man wearing a hat. The illustration was created by Valentine Dubinin, a cartoonist and animator from Russia who works as a freelance artist. But before reading any further, take a good look at it and see if you are able to spot the dog that’s hidden within it!
Were you able to find the dog, or can you only see the old man? After staring at the picture for a few seconds and reading this, most people are able to make out both the man and the dog. If you still can’t decipher the dog, keep looking because it’s in there somewhere!
These images are called ambiguous figures, which are a type of optical illusion, and some people also refer to them as ‘illusory figures.’ Ambiguous images are pictures that take advantage of how we perceive and interpret things visually. They do so in such a way that the figure presented to us, like the old man, can be viewed multiple ways because they end up producing multiple images, i.e. the dog, each of which are correct.
It turns out that images like this one have intrigued researchers from across a number of different fields for well over the past hundred years. Scientists and psychologists cannot figure out how exactly they work, what part of our brain holds the key to understanding them, or why people can even switch between the two images in the first place. Some people cannot do the switch at all, they only see one thing or the other, which just adds more to the mystery surrounding them.

Two Brothers Attempt To Take A Nice Photo For Their Mom. But Things Don’t Go As Planned!
Ahhhhh….boys will be boys! No matter what age it’s always hard to get that family picture together for a holiday. Siblings squirm as you try to make the family have that ideal appearance. Thank goodness she is not there to watch them attempt to get the photo done for their Mother’s Day card. These “boys” from BaratsAndBareta clearly have not resolved their sibling rivalry. Each attempt to get the picture to work grows more and more hysterical, as their exasperation with each other grow.

Cops Are Now Warning People To Take A Picture Of Your Hotel Room Right When You Walk Through The Door.

In the United States alone there are more than one million people enslaved today. Many of them were brought into the country by smugglers who specialize not in drugs, but in human trafficking.
According to the U.S. State Department, every year between 600,000 and 800,000 people are trafficked across the country’s borders, half of them are children and 8 out of 10 are female. They are a fraction of the estimated 21 million people who have been trafficked around the world according the UNICEF, and demand for slavery and cheap labor has been steadily increasing.
The numbers are shocking and eye-opening, they reflect the fact that human trafficking has now become the world’s fasted growing crime. In terms of scope and industry size it ranks third internationally, behind only illegal drugs and arms trafficking.
The demand for cheap labor and sexual exploitation are the primary driving forces behind human trafficking. Victims are modern day slaves who are being held against their will, abused, abducted, coerced, or threatened into compliance. They face unimaginable horrors and treatment at the hands of their abusers and yet most people can’t even image that this sort of crime is occurring every single day all across America, even in their own neighborhood.
Part of what makes human trafficking so hard to detect and investigate is that victims are constantly being moved around. Traffickers rarely stay in one spot, instead they change locations frequently to evade law enforcement and make it super hard for authorities to track them down. That’s also why they use hotel rooms. Not only do hotels afford criminals easy and convenient places to hide, they are perfect because rooms can be paid for in cash. Statistics show that the majority of all trafficking crimes take place in hotel rooms. When traffickers bring their victims to a new hotel room they usually take a picture of them and upload it online as a type of advertisement. That’s where the TraffickCam App comes into play.
