Mother Gives Birth To Twins

Any parent knows how emotional, stressful, and joyous the birth of their children can be. For Nicola and Todd Bailey of Sheffield, England, who were expecting twin girls, they were over moon excited about welcoming two new additions to their family. The couple already had a son, Lucas, and couldn’t wait to give him two little sisters. However, the twins came sooner than Nicola expected and at just thirty three weeks she was rushed to the hospital in labor. She ended up giving birth to the girls who she named Harper and Quinn, and immediately after doctors told the couple that the babies had been born healthy. Relieved, they set their focus on recovery and making plans for bringing them home.
When doctors suddenly returned to their room about a half an hour later, they looked serious and what they told the new parents didn’t immediately make sense. The doctor said to them “I’m so sorry” and went on to explain that the baby born first, Harper, had Down Syndrome.
Down Syndrome is a genetic condition caused by a chromosomal disorder which results in developmental issues, intellectual disability, and physical changes in appearance. It’s generally viewed in a negative light by both doctors and the public, which has led to people who have it being stigmatized and looked at differently. While it has become more accepted in the past few years as people are educated and learn more about it, it’s nonetheless still viewed as abnormal…
Regardless of the diagnosis, the Bailey’s were simply in love and grateful for their two newborn daughters. They also had more serious health issues to deal with. In addition to Down Syndrome, Harper was also born with two small holes in her heart. One thankfully closed all on its own, but the second one required surgery.
Once they were out of the woods and finally able to bring their twins home, Nicola and Todd thought back about how the doctors had broken the news to them in such a negative, apologetic way. It made them realize how people automatically felt bad about Harper’s condition, which they thought should not be the case.
Oftentimes, when people first met Harper they seemed to always say “I’m sorry” about her having Down Syndrome, but Nicola and Todd thought she was no different than their other two children and shouldn’t be defined by having it.
Wanting to change the perception of families with Down Syndrome children, Nicola decided to publicly share her life raising her babies. That way she could fight back against the misconceptions and false information people had towards it.
She set up a blog and social media accounts to help get her message out that having a Down Syndrome child is nothing to be ashamed of or viewed negatively. Instead, people should accept that others are sometimes born different and that’s okay. Harper is just as happy, loving, and unique as any other child and a Down Syndrome diagnosis is nothing anyone, especially doctors, should be apologizing about.

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

5) Organize Winter Gear- Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, hand warmers, neck warmers and all other winter accessories can be neatly stored in one accessible place with a shoe organizer. Hang it over a door and never search for lost gloves again.
6) Windshield Treatment- This one is the best! A combination of vinegar and water works wonders at preventing frost and ice from building up on car windshields and windows. Mix the two liquids up in a spray bottle, spritz it on car windows, then wipe off with a soft cloth.
7) Boot Tray- Keep floors safe, clean, and dry by making your own boot tray. This one is much more appealing than commercially available ones and works even better. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

This Kid Calls 911 and Has The Funniest Conversation With Confused 911 Operator.

Kids truly do say the darnedest things and if you have a child you can personally attest to this. Children are like sponges that just pretty much absorb anything and everything in their environment. Their little brains and minds are constantly making new neural connections which help them navigate through a very large and confusing world. Sometimes this curiosity and innocence can get them into some pretty sticky situations that while funny can get them into a bit of trouble.
Children are taught to call 911 in case of emergencies from an early age. They learn that the best way to get immediate help in the face of danger or an urgent crisis is by dialing those three numbers. However, what a young child considers an emergency can often be at odds with what is an actual one requiring police or medical assistance. There are many stories of kids who call 911 for problems that fall well short of a life-threatening situation, you may even have one yourself.
While oftentimes they get scolded by the operator for mis-using the line, sometimes the person on the other end is understanding and happy to help them out. That was the case when a four year old boy named Johnny decided to call 911 for help with his math homework.
He was struggling with take aways, aka subtraction, and in his mind this was a homework emergency that could be solved by talking to the police! Realizing his innocence, instead of reprimanding him the dispatcher decided to talk to Johnny and walk him through some of his homework.
Their adorable conversation is suddenly interrupted when Johnny’s mother asks him who he is talking to. He innocently tells her the policeman is helping him with his math problems and that she told him “if I need help to call somebody.”
Naturally his mom is less than pleased with what’s going on and she can be heard in the background exclaiming “I didn’t mean the police.” That’s where the audio clip ends so while we can’t be sure as to what happened next, it’s safe to assume Johnny’s mom laid down the law and told him not to call the police ever again for math or any kind of homework help!

9-Months Pregnant Woman Does a Photo-Shoot By The Beach.

Pregnancy is one of the most amazing moments in any woman’s life. That amazing glow your skin gives off as it begins to shimmer. Once that initial morning sickness wears off and you are lucky enough to have a smooth pregnancy it can be an absolutely amazing experience. Feeling that first kick in your belly, when your baby in the womb lets you know that they are there!
When you get towards the last month or two of being pregnant it is pretty common to take pregnancy photos, so you have the memories forever before your sweet young child comes into this world. Some women prefer a lavender meadow, while others prefer a scenic vista, while some choose a mountain top, while some prefer a beautiful sandy beach with relaxing ocean waves gently lapping in the background.
This brings us to today’s story featuring Angeline Moser, a beautiful pregnant mother of 9 months and her handsome husband Dan. The couple decided that the best place for this new mama to take her pregnancy pics would be at their favorite beach spot. She put on her most stunning maternity dresses and got herself ready for the first pictures she would ever take with her baby. As with most maternity photoshoots the mother to be will pose with her belly to the side so that the photos can capture the pregnancy in all it’s essence. Her husband Dan is pretty handy with a camera, so they decided not to get a professional photographer.
Angeline got in her best baby poses, turned towards Dan and the camera as she smiled and glowed through all the perfect shots that were coming out. At first everything seemed completely normal, nothing out of ordinary, just a nice warm ocean breeze, the sand at her feet, and her soon to be baby lightly pitter pattering away inside her belly knowing that this would be it’s first photoshoot!
Out of no where, Dan noticed from the corner of his eye, a finned creature which kept leaping out of water in the distance multiple times. He didn’t say anything to his wife at that time, but zoomed in just a bit to see exactly what it was… As the maternity photoshoot continued, the creature kept leaping out of the water as if it wanted to be a part of this families amazing new life with their newborn just around the corner!
What was already a perfect and magical setting, got even more spectacular as Dan snapped these amazing shots, as his beautiful wife and new baby posed. This was almost like something out of the Little Mermaid. It would surely be something this young couple would never ever forget, especially since they now had photos which would forever capture this moment in time for the rest of their lives!

I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.

Disney World has long been a place for children and adults alike, that creates an otherworldly magical feeling, of insulated wonder from the real world. For young children, who get to meet their favorite Disney characters, they have their first experience of “starstruck celebrity”. For one little girl, Shaylee Mansfield, whom you will meet in the video you are about to watch below, her experience at Disney was truly of a “place where dreams come true”!
Shaylee is a bubbly, vivacious child who at an early age faced the world with a huge burden. She, like her mother, is deaf. Her parents feared that her deafness would cause Shaylee to feel isolated from others, who wouldn’t know how to sign in order to communicate with her.
They found an excellent school for her to attend, in which everyone knows sign language; this has afforded Shaylee a feeling of inclusiveness, that has opened up her world, allowing her a normal and happy childhood.
Like most young children, she longed to visit Disney World, but her parents feared that her deafness would preclude her ability to communicate with her heroes, the Disney characters. She and her sister got to pose for a picture with Minnie Mouse, and then the most unexpected thing happened that made Shaylee and her family’s day…Minnie began to sign with her!!
In the video you are about to watch below, you will witness Shaylee’s sheer joy; Minnie’s having learned sign language, allowed Shaylee’s Disney experience to continue to be normalized. As her dad soaked up Shaylee’s interaction, he later explained, “It made her proud of her own language. She made that connection.”

If we are willing to notice, and remain open to what is positive, life-enhancing doors are there for us to open. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.

This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.
