Dad Slices Open A Wasps Nest In Front of Them. What He Reveals Inside Is So Awesome!

There is something so mysterious and intriguing about what lies inside of things that we are usually not privy to.  Dan and his son Lincoln have created a YouTube Channel named, “What’s Inside”, where they open up all kinds of things together to discover what lies inside.  In the video you are about to watch below, we join them in discovering what lurks inside of a WASP’S NEST!

Obviously they were not going to go near a live nest, so they ordered one that was no longer inhabited, from eBay.  I find it so admirable that Dan has been sharing his curiosity with Lincoln, in exploring such fascinating things, by doing these in home “science projects”.  There is nothing better that a parent can model and offer a child, than the fostering of intrinsic curiosity about the world in general, and more specifically in the workings of nature.

After unpacking the wasp’s nest, you will see Dan begin the process of cutting open the nest, as Lincoln and his friend seem to be having a mixture of anticipatory excitement and a bit of squeamish fear.  I myself, watched with baited breath, as the cutting open of the nest proceeded.  Lincoln is a little bit afraid that there still might be a live hornet inside, despite the fact that they have been assured there is not.

When the cutting process is finished their gasps of amazement at the intricacy of the internal structure, matched my own.  Nature is just so fascinating, and the building capacity of the insect kingdom, is truly mind-boggling to view.  Get ready for some really amazing footage!

He Starts Filming Dark Clouds Rolling In. But Watch What Happens To The City Below

Imagine watching a thunderstorm off in the distance. Everything appears normal but suddenly you see a wave of rain and air burst down from the clouds. The column of precipitation appears out of nowhere and races rapidly towards earth, pulling down even more moisture as it goes.

Seconds later all of that rain violently hits the ground and with nowhere else to go it fans out across the surrounding area. The immense force of the impact causes winds traveling at speeds of up to 170 mph to shoot out and curl up and around, resulting in turbulence that is chaotic, intense, and destructive. In fact, the turbulence can be so violent and extreme that it’s been known to take down passenger jets and has been attributed to several plane crashes over the years.

The unusual account above describes what you are about to see in this amazing footage of a microburst. A wet microburst is a relatively rare weather phenomenon that occurs when a rush of cool air and rain falls to the ground at high speed during a thunderstorm. The clip featured here was captured by Bryan Snider, a storm chaser and photographer, in the skies over Tucson, Arizona. He time lapsed the footage to accentuate nature its most powerful and to emphasize the rapid changes that occur in weather. Check it out and marvel at the sight, it’ll blow you away!

Strange Animal Seen Creeping Around Woman’s Backyard and The Species Has Finally Been Determined

If you spotted this strange, mutant looking creature in your backyard would you scream and run away or take a picture of it? The woman who found the creepy, snake-like, two-headed thingy had both of those reactions and she even called her friends over to take a look at it. Naturally she wanted to know what the heck it was she was dealing with because you don’t see something like this everyday..

Lujan Eroles filmed the odd little creature in her Santa Fe, Argentina driveway and when she was still unsure as to what exactly it was, she posted it social media. According to Lujan, she and her friends “all thought it was a mutant animal, which is why we filmed it and put it online for people to give us their opinions.” The post has since gone viral and the answer as to what the creature is has been narrowed down to two possible answers, neither of which include any mutants!

The main explanation that people seem to agree on is that it’s either one of two caterpillars which are native to where Lujan lives in Argentina. The first one is what’s known scientifically as Eumorpha labruscae which is also more commonly called a gaudy sphinx. When in the larval stage the caterpillars look like mini-snake heads, as you can see in the picture, and after they pupate they transform into moths as adults.

The second possibility is that the caterpillar is a different type of moth, Deilephila elpenor, aka an elephant hawk-moth. These moths also display a snake-like appearance as a means to ward off predators, mainly birds, and to keep from being eaten. The color patterns and placement resemble serpent scales, while the black patches give it eyes on both ends. The creepy look is all part of the little caterpillar’s first line of defense and without it they’d be plucked up by a hungry bird!

Regardless of whatever species caterpillar this snake-worm insect creature belongs to, it’s ugly and creepy up close and it’s not anything I’d want crawling on me. Make sure you check it out and weigh in with your opinion as to what type of caterpillar you think it is!

Nobody Believed Her When She Described Her Parrot’s Afternoon Ritual. So She Caught THIS!

Parrots are among the most intelligent species of birds in the world and lots of them share a special bond with their human companions. The exotic, beautifully colored birds are quite clever and many are able to pick up words and expressions from simply being around their owners. Besides being fun and endearing companions, they’re also complex creatures who require a lot of love, attention, and training to be happy and truly thrive!

Marnie, the beautiful blue feathered parrot with a distinctive black line circling his neck in this video, is proof of just how loving and affectionate parrots often act. The blue Indian Ringneck, a parrot subspecies, knows a thing or two about how to sweet talk a lady and in this case it’s his owner and best friend. When he spots her across the room he flies right on over, lands on her shoulder, and politely asks “What are you doing?” before telling her “You’re so cute!”

The pair chat for a little and when his owner asks for a kiss he obliges and says “Thank you.” This may be the cutest conversation you’ll ever see as they go on to shower each other with tender words and a few more kisses! It’s clear that Marnie is loving the attention being paid to him and it’s always wonderful to see the mutual love and affection being shared between owners and their pets. These two are a match made in heaven!

According to his mom, there are a few other phrases Marnie knows in addition to “you’re so cute,” “what are you doing,” and “thank you.” He also says “peek-a-boo,” “whee!,” “bye-bye,” “that good?,” “quack quack,” and “yuck, yuck, yuck.” She says that he’s always been a lover from day one, and always asks for kisses, which is why she describes him as a “polite Casanova.”

Check him out! You can’t help but smile and fall in love with what an awesome, well-spoken, and polite parrot Marnie is!

Fisherman Is Reeling In A Huge Halibut. But He Never Saw This Deep Sea Thief Coming!

Most Sportsmen and women love to talk about the highlights of their chosen sport. Golfers talk about their best handicap, tennis players their greatest shot or match, and fishermen love to brag about their biggest catch. They sometimes exaggerate a bit about the actual size of the fish, but today with so many moments of our lives being videoed, the truth is verifiable!

For the fisherman in the video you are about to watch, the fact that the camera caught what happens to his prize catch, was certainly fortunate. Otherwise it might have sounded like one of those stories that gets exaggerated. His catch was stolen by an unlikely and amazing thief!

He was reeling in a huge halibut when out of nowhere a wily orca swooped in to grab his catch. He might have been more irritated, except that getting to see the magnificent orca close up was so exciting! Catching this on video was the ultimate prize that he got to share with all his friends and the rest of the world on the internet. It was certainly a highlight of his fishing life!

They Find a Helpless Newborn Fawn Lying In The Middle of The Street. But Then They Notice THIS.

Baby animals are just about the most precious little things in the world and fawns are no exception. The adorable tiny deer can be hard to spot because of their naturally camouflaged fur but thankfully that didn’t prevent Steve Knoop from noticing one in the middle of the road.

Steve and his friends had been driving down a scenic country road when they came across the newborn laying right in the middle of the road. It was mushed down in an odd, seemingly uncomfortable position that made it look like it’d been hit by a car and injured. Nevertheless, the men pulled over to the side so they could get a closer look and check it out and that’s when they noticed it wasn’t dead or hurt, it was healthy and had likely just been born!

The men deduced from the scene that this fawn was maybe just a few minutes old. The fact that its mother was nearby and the way it was positioned all pointed to this conclusion. Now the fawn was simply trying really hard to blend in with the pavement and not be noticed but instead it ended up sticking out like a sore thumb.

The men debated what they should do, leave it in the road or move it to safety, and end up deciding on the latter option. They don’t want to risk it getting run over by a car so one of them, Paul, gently scoops the newborn up and moves it off to the side of the road. Before he can even set it down the baby immediately jumps up and runs back to its mother’s side. The group erupts with joy at seeing the baby safe and reunited with its mother and one of them sums it all up best with the remark “That was awesome!” Agreed, yes it truly was.

Here’s a little more information on fawns and what to do if you should ever come across one: Fawns are easily identifiable since they’re born with white spots that dot their fur. These help to camouflage and keep them safe from predators all day long while their mothers are away foraging for food. If you ever see a baby fawn alone during the daytime the best thing you can do is leave it alone and not touch it. It’s almost guaranteed that the fawn is not orphaned or abandoned and mom is probably somewhere close by, she returns later in the day after it gets dark outside.

If you do need to handle or move the fawn for its safety, as in the video, you should use gloves and not move it very far. If you touch the fawn you should wipe the area off with a clean towel to remove as much of your scent as possible because it could cause the mother to reject the baby. Rub the towel in dirt first to lessen the human scent before wiping and then leave the fawn alone. Its mother will only come back to it when she feels completely safe and that could take well over a day, so give it plenty of time. Hopefully you learned something from all this but won’t ever have to use the knowledge!
