Giant Wolf Sits Down Next To This Woman Now Watch The Moment When Their Eyes Meet.

Not many people can walk freely with wolves and the rare few who are able to share such a close and special bond with the majestic animals are incredibly fortunate. Danielle, a wildlife worker at the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, is one of those lucky souls. She has earned the trust and respect of several timber wolves at the center and as you can see in this awesome video, they truly seem to love and appreciate her like one of their own!

The large grey wolf seen walking alongside Danielle in the beginning is named Kekoa, which in Hawaiian means “brave one.” He’s a nine year old Timber wolf who was transferred in from the Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Florida along with his sister Sakara who is also featured in the clip. According to the Wildlife Center, Kekoa enjoys giving visitors sweet kisses and he’s exceptionally gentle around them!

It’s clear to see that the handsome boy definitely loves the ladies and watching him interact with Danielle says it all. He walks with her happily wagging his tail and when she sits down in the snow he nuzzles her affectionately and bows his head in submission. Then he starts licking her face enthusiastically, which make seem kind of gross, but it’s actually a further sign of his affection and subordination towards her.

As brave and noble as he looks, he’s also a big baby and I mean real big! He weighs in at 115 pounds and when he places his front paws up on a persons shoulders he comes in at about 7 feet tall! Check out the size comparison between Danielle, who happens to be an average sized adult, and his sister Sakara, who is slightly smaller than her brother and weighs 85 pounds. Kekoa is huge, yet so sweet and soft!

The best part is when he rolls over on his back and fully exposes his tummy to Danielle. Not only does this signal that he wants her to give him belly rubs, it also shows just how much he truly trusts her. While he’s willing to be completely vulnerable around Danielle, he’s also not a fully wild wolf.

In an interview with The Dodo wildlife center staffer Michelle Smith explained that “Since he was raised by people and bottle fed from the time he was born, he is very well socialized, meaning he enjoys the company of people. This is not the same as domesticated or tame. He is still a ‘wild’ animal, and he does tend to show it when he is around his sister. A wolf in the wild would not act this way.” To drive home her point, a healthy and normal wild wolf would never allow a person to pet them, let alone approach them in the first place. Wolves actively avoid human contact and prefer to stay well away from us.

This clip just shows how well people and wolves can get along if given the chance to. They are highly personable and are a far cry from the wicked, evil animals that they have been portrayed as in fairy tales and stories over the centuries. In fact, wolves are easily among the most intelligent, socially complex, and misunderstood animals on Earth. They have been given a wholly undeserved reputation by people, hunted and persecuted to near extinction, and yet through it all they’ve managed to survive and endure.

Please be sure to check out the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center’s beautiful video and see for yourself how sweet natured and loving they can be!

Watch An Owl Swooping Down On Top Of This Cat.

image via – youtube.com

So here’s an unlikely duo who become friends.  Fum, a cute little black cat and Gebra, a barn owl, often a bird of prey.  Set to a great Portuguese tune, this video is one of the most delightful, entertaining ones I’ve stumbled upon in a while. I don’t think I have ever seen an interspecies friendship that compliments each other so much.

Owls and cats as strange as it may sound just seem like they belong together! They meet and check each other out in many different ways.  Both are skeptical of the other, but as time goes on they begin to romp through the countryside. They are just like two kids playing outside!

Their unlimited playground gives them the opportunity to enjoy the possibilities of their species in the most fascinating ways. Nature again never ceases to amaze me.

I can see why the video has had nearly  million views on YouTube.  Watching these two enjoy a “playdate” without boundaries, with such clever antics, is truly hilarious.  It’s so amazing we can all enjoy this amazing friendship! Enjoy their spontaneity and pass it on to all the animal lovers you know!

You are in for a real treat with this one! Enjoy!

He Was So Broken Over His Poached Rhino That He Did THIS. The Result Is I Now Believe In Miracles

image via – youtube.com

Park rangers in South Africa found three rhinos brutally hacked and left to die by poachers who were after their horns. Luckily, two rhinos were found alive and given the names Themba and Thandi. Themba, a male, managed to survive 24 days before he succumbed to weakness and drowned while getting a drink at the watering hole.

His plight touched rescuers deeply and they wish to let the world know and see what these animals are going through. Thandi, a female, fought hard for her life and slowly recovered. She was the only one to make it through and live.

Three years after the brutal attack Thandi had become pregnant and was due to give birth to a young calf. When photographer and filmmaker Adrian Stein found this out he quickly went to find her in the bush at the Kariega Game Reserve on the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

He had been documenting her journey since the attack and wanted to capture Thandi’s pregnancy. The story of her plight was widely followed and had since become a national inspiration. Rangers accompanying Stein tracked Thandi down and when they first caught sight of her a little calf was standing by her side. She had given birth shortly before their arrival to a healthy baby whom they named Hope.

This touching story will hopefully be a catalyst for change and promote action to bring an end to the brutal attacks inflicted on these endangered animals and others like them. Currently there are less than about 25,000 wild African rhinos in existence and this baby, what she stands for and her survival, are vital to their recovery.

The mother and child have already inspired many people to take action, and if their story is spread, it can only promote more awareness, understanding and conservation efforts.

This Lady Waves At A Bear As They Drive By. But How It Reacts OMG!

image via – facebook.com

Bears don’t always wave back but when they do, it’s because they’re ultra-smart and friendly! At least one part of that statement is true because bears are seriously clever animals. In fact, many experts believe they are the most intelligent animal in all of North America.

However, the vast majority of bears are not friendly, after all they are wild animals who act on their instincts. People should stay well away from them if they value their health and continued existence on this planet.

Even so, there are always those rare individuals who end up surprising the heck out of us and bears are no exception to this sentiment. The big friendly Kodiak bear in this short video is one of the friendliest, most laid back bears you’ll likely ever come across.

He lives in Washington state at the Olympic Game Farm, a sanctuary that focuses on animals that were used in show business. Perhaps he’s just used to people and likes them, or he’s loving retirement, but this bear is really nice!

As the people in the car filming pull up alongside the gentle looking giant the woman in the passenger seat throws up a hand and waves at him. Much to their surprise the bear, who’s sitting comically on his rear end in the dirt near the road, returns the gesture and waves right back at them!

It’s almost as if the bear knows the people and is waving at them to say hello. This is something you have to see to truly appreciate how cool it really is, it’s easily one of the most hilarious and awesome bear-moments caught on tape!

This Guy Felt A Bite On His Arm But Didn’t Think Much Of It. He Went To Bed Woke Up and Saw THIS

At first, Alex Beer, a thirty two year old man from Kent, UK didn’t realize anything was wrong. Thinking it must have been due to an allergy, he brushed off worry and hoped it would get better, but the severity of the situation dawned on him as his arm quickly swelled, expanding at an alarming rate. Alex had been bitten by a false widow, the most infamous spider in all of Britain, and as you will soon see for yourself, his condition worsened to the point that he rushed to the hospital.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that his kidneys were rapidly failing and without prompt medical intervention the results would be grim. Fortunately for him, he was able to make it in time, and the skilled medical professionals were able to save not only his arm, but also his life! He had to stay in the hospital for nearly two weeks to bring his kidneys back to nominal function, and the damage to his arm was extensive, but with careful intervention they were able to help him on to the road to recovery.

For Alex, that road is not yet complete, but it seems he is through the worst of it. During his stay in the hospital, he underwent multiple rounds of intravenous antibiotics and saline. He did not know when he had been bitten and has no knowledge of the bite, but the presentation of his symptoms make the False Widow the likely culprit.

There are very few spiders in the world whose venom carries any threat for humans, but it would be wise to calmly look up which species of venomous spiders live in your area so that you are able to quickly identify them and stay out of their way until they can be safely moved to a new location. If you do not corner them or threaten them in any way they are unlikely to bother you, and the non venomous spiders are very helpful, it is not nice to hurt them.

He Slowly Approaches This Frozen Hole At The Lake. What Pops Out Is So UNEXPECTED

As I scan the internet I am always particularly touched by videos that exhibit unlikely bonds between animals of different species.  Although it seems to occur quite often, it never ceases to amaze me, that a horse and a chicken, an elephant and a kitten or a dog and a monkey form a protective and nurturing relationship.

In a world where there is so much violence, it somehow makes me more hopeful that perhaps there is something intrinsically good and loving in human beings, that may ultimately outweigh our competitive and destructive instincts…one can hope.

The video that you are about to watch below, is yet another instance of unlikely trust betweenan elderly Finnish man, Seppo Laaman, and an animal that lives in a hole surrounded by snow and ice near his home.

This lovely man opened his front door one day, to find this starving wild otter whom he nicknamed “Iivari”, needing help.  He fed him fish and worms to restore him to a healthy enough condition to go back and live in his natural environment in the wild.

As you watch this heartwarming footage of their trusting relationship, understand that this smart little otter is not Seppo’s pet.  They have an understanding, as you will see them communicate, that is mutual and has boundaries that are free.
