Pregnant Mama Elephant Gives Birth To A Baby. Now Keep Your Eyes On The Right Side Of The Screen!
This is a story of what the power of loving care did for an orphaned elephant named Emily. She was taken in, after losing her mother, by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya. Defenseless on her own, baby Emily was nurtured in this safe environment, until she was ready to be released back into the wild.
She was well-prepared to live out the remainder of her life as an adult. The caretakers were sad to see Emily go, but felt they had given her the chance she needed to eventually have a family of her own, of which she had been deprived, due to the loss of her family at such a young age.
One day, on December 23, 2014, an astoundingly heartwarming and unusual event occurred. The caretakers of the wildlife trust, who never thought they would lay eyes on their beloved Emily again, were shocked at what occurred. Without any human enticement or help, Emily appeared at the place where she had been cared for when she so badly needed it.
The reason for her appearance? She came to give birth to her calf amongst the people who, not only saved her, but brought her up to be an elephant who could survive on her own. The birth of her baby daughter, Emma, is captured in this beautiful video.
Not only were her caretakers at the Trust deeply moved that she found her way back for this momentous occasion in her life, but the herd gathered around her, to help her and her sweet newborn calf, after the birth. The miracle of birth is always something wonderful to behold.

An Elephant Charges Full Speed At This Guy But Somehow He Knew To Do THIS!
This is one of the most astounding wildlife videos I have seen in a while. A tourist is in the jungles of Thailand and spots an elephant, in the brush, perhaps twenty feet away from where he is standing. He watches and waits, with his camera in hand.
Within seconds the elephant charges and lands practically nose to trunk with the tourist…who doesn’t move!! Shockingly, the elephant turned and ran away. The tourist turns around and calmly smiles at whomever is doing the video. Now I know you frequently see the term “jaw-dropping” on internet videos, but I have rarely viewed a moment where that description so aptly applies!
I don’t know if this tourist knew that the best thing to do in a situation like this was to stand completely still, or if he was frozen in shock? Instinctively, I think I would have run, but according to biologists that would have put me in extreme danger.
Standing still, and a mere wave of the hand, signaled the charging elephant to back off. Not moving sent the message that the man was not a threat, which instinctively removed the elephant’s desire to attack.
Watch this amazing video which illustrates the best thing to do, when faced with what was a potentially life-threatening situation. The fact that this situation was diffused still boggles my mind. I had to watch the video several times to really believe my own eyes!
What do you think you would have done in a jungle if an elephant charged at you within inches of your body?

Two Baby Elephants Wandered Off and Got Lost. Their Reaction When They Find Mama Is Priceless!
These baby elephants got adventurous and meandered away from their family to check out the surroundings. Their excitement upon returning seems to imply that the double trouble may have been a little turned around whilst strolling the hood. The siblings noticeably quickened their pace to a full run once they recognized the safety of their mother, and not even a gushing stream could slow them from reaching their sanctuary.
Elephants are social creatures who have an interesting dynamic of community. Females spend their entire lives within a group of ten or more elephants which consists of several mothers and their offspring. The gang is governed by the oldest female until she is either to weak to reign or deceased, and then control is taken by the oldest daughter, even if the mother’s sister is present.
Families do interact with outside groups, forming clans of up to nine families who work together to protect their regions during harsh seasons. Adult male elephants live a more independent lifestyle. As they develop, males spend time on the outskirts of their group rather than being secured between matriarchs, and socialize with other males and families.
Around fourteen or fifteen years old, they spend the majority of their time away from their family and the adult females begin to act aggressively toward them, which pushes them to leave the nursing unit permanently. After their departure, males live as bachelors by themselves or in a group of other males.
Watch the adorable video below. It totally made my day. It’s the cutest thing I’ve seen all week. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Run little ones run!

These Wild Elephants Take This Walk Once A Year. But Watch What They Caught On Video!
The visit that is captured in this beautiful video was a transporting experience. What you are about to view is the yearly pilgrimage that takes place by a family of wild elephants. They visit a lovely hotel in Zambia called the Mfuwe Lodge, when the mangos are ripe. Wonky Tusk, their matriarch, leads them through the reception area of the Lodge, so that they can reach the mango tree on the grounds of the hotel.
She intuitively knows when the mangos are ripe, and brings her family to enjoy their delicious snack. Wonky and her family, which includes an adorable baby elephant, seem to know that it is safe for them to partake of these treats. Equally amazing is that their human friends leave them be in this incredibly peaceful scene. A mutual trust is evident as they enter the lodge.
After they are satiated from the mangos, they peacefully lay down to take a nap. After resting they gently rumble back through the lodge for their leave-taking. One can only imagine what an unforgettable experience this is for the visitors. I now have something new for my bucket list. I would love to watch this in person!

When This Elephant Heard Music Playing He Came Over And Did Something That Stunned Everyone!
They say an elephant never forgets. I say I will never forget this enormously talented elephant. His name is Peter and he plays piano better than most rookies do, considering that he is not trained, bribed, or forced in any way to partake in creating his tunes. What you see on the video is him jumping in on the keys spontaneously and under his own free will. Peter’s reaction was caught during an evening encounter with a visiting pianist, Paul Barton, who traveled to his home at the Royal Elephant Kraal in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
When Mr. Barton started playing the piano, Peter started to boogie. The elephant joined his visitor for a duet and happily pounded his trunk on the keys to hit the high notes. All the while he bopped his massive head up and down and swayed to the beat. At one point, even his friend got in on the action and shook her behind to the melody right alongside him.
Peter noticeably flapped his ears back and forth, a common way to express joy and excitement. He also seems to be making chirping sounds. Captive elephants have learned to associate chirping with food rewards from their mahouts. This is because humans find the chirps to be cute and charming, so when they make the sounds it is them asking for bananas, food, and other tasty treats.
Speaking of mahouts, the man in the background filming with a tablet is Pat, Peter’s 24/7 caretaker. He is responsible for his elephant friend’s health, safety, and as protection against other potentially aggressive bull elephants.
The two share a remarkably close bond and he is not prodding Peter in this clip. He is actually reminding his giant friend to be aware of his size and to not get carried away as he has in the past. On those occasions Peter ended up smashing the keys in his excitement, so his mahout knows to step in when, and if, necessary.
My favorite part is towards the end when Mr. Barton turns to his new virtuoso and gives his trunk a high five. They share a moment before he commends him on the performance and tells him “good job.” What a memorable encounter for both of them! Watch the clip to truly appreciate it:

THIS Elephant Steps On Sprinkler and Breaks It. But What She Does At The End Is Priceless!
They say an elephant never forgets. I say I will never forget this happy, lively, and adorable elephant. Her name is Faa Sai and she lives at Elephant Nature Park in Northern Thailand. The Park is a rescue and rehabilitation center that allows visitors and tourists to volunteer and help with the dozens of animals that now call it home. Besides elephants, the nature park also cares for dogs, cats, buffaloes and many other animals.
Faa Sai was rescued and ever since her life has changed immensely for the better. She is a always curious of new things and wanders freely among the various herds. She loves nothing more than to visit with all the baby elephants, where she gently watches over and cares for each one, and checks in on them daily. She truly has come a long way from her abusive background and her spirit shines with love, happiness, and joy.
In this video you can watch her cool off and play with a sprinkler. At first she’s happy to just enjoy the flowing water, as she pushes her foot over it every now and then, making rainbows with the spray and mist. Bu after a few moments she decides to switch it up.
That’s when she takes her huge feet and powerful trunk and uses them to break the sprinkler! Her efforts cause the water pressure to get strong and brown, muddy water gushes forth even faster and harder than before. Faa Sai seems quite delighted with her sprinkler changes and now she has a fountain to play in! My favorite part is towards the end when she seems to be basking in the water as she pushes her head into it. What a memorable and sweet encounter to witness, watch the clip to truly appreciate it.
