No One Believed Her When She Told Them What Her Pup Started Doing. So She Caught THIS!

In the war between cats and dogs it appears that more people would choose the dog’s side. That’s going off of reports about a recent AP poll which found that more Americans like dogs than cats. While cats and dogs are equally adorable in many of our eyes, it’s easy to see why dogs came out on top.

They’re naturally more friendly and outgoing than their feline counterparts and always look like they’re happy and having the best time ever.

The adorable puppy named Herbert in this clip is no exception to this and the grin he gives the camera shows how sweet and smart he truly is.

Herbert was being fostered Amanda Robles for PAWS Chicago when she decided to capture his unique gift of grin in action. At the time this was filmed he was about five months old, still just a puppy, and had been living with her for a few short weeks.

The clip starts out with Herbert resting on his haunches, sitting there calmly while looking relaxed and at ease. When Amanda tells him to “say cheese” Herbert’s normal puppy face transforms into a wide, teeth baring, 1,000 watt smile that stretches fully across his head!

He really knows how to work a camera and his expression is just too cute for words. The fact that he’s able to transform his face from average into a huge grin on command at such a young age also shows how clever and quick he is. He shouldn’t have any problem finding a forever home with a beautiful face, brains, and a smile like that!

Check out his happy grin in the short clip for an instant mood boost. It’ll put a similarly cheesy type of grin on your face since you can’t help but smile when you see his!

Vet Saves Paralyzed Dog’s Life By Noticing Something Strange On His Ear Right Before He Was Going To Be Put Down

When Falline Fate’s dog Ollie suddenly started showing signs of health problems she immediately took him to the vet for a check up. The ten year old Border Collie was experiencing mobility issues that were getting worse with each passing day. Seeing him struggle to walk and stand was breaking her heart and she was naturally very concerned about her pets health.

The reason for the dog’s rapid deterioration was a mystery, up until recently he had been active and healthy his whole life. The vet had found no indications of head trauma or broken bones and cancer was ruled out as well. Soon Ollie’s condition had progressed to the point where he was completely unable to move and he’d stopped going to the bathroom. With his quality of life so low and no improvement in sight, the Fate family decided that it was time to put him down.

They brought Ollie to the vet for his final visit and were waiting with him when an intern noticed a tiny black speck on the back of his ear. Upon closer inspection the spot turned out to be a dog tick. The doctor realized that the tick could be the cause for Ollie’s unexplained paralysis and within a few hours he had his answer. Ollie was rapidly regaining his mobility and already up on his feet moving around. His illness had been tick borne and he was finally diagnosed with tick paralysis.

Tick paralysis is an extremely rare condition that results when a lot of specific conditions are met. Only a few types of ticks actually carry and transmit the neurotoxin that causes the paralysis and it must be a female, on the dog for 5-10 days, and even then it may not cause anything.

Luckily the one on Ollie was spotted just in the nick of time and he was spared certain death. He’s now back at home living his old happy life and his story is getting out there so that others know the importance of thoroughly checking not only themselves, but also their pets for ticks. If you ever do find a tick, here’s how to properly remove it:

All you need is a cotton swab, water and good lighting. Take the cotton swab and quickly dip it in water to slightly moisten the tip, which will help make it glide smoothly along the skin. Place the cotton swab tip on the back of the tick so that it’s slightly angled, and not directly over it. Push the tick around in circles so that it rotates around it’s axis, or hypostome which is its mouth part. After about 3-5 rotations the tick should release its bite and back itself out of the skin. Now you should be able to pick up the tick with the end of the cotton swab and can dispose of it properly. Also, you’ll want to try and remove it as soon as possible, the quicker you can get its head out of your skin the better, because doing so greatly reduces the chances of infection.

Guilty Dog Gets Caught By His Mom For Knocking Over The Trash. What He Does Next Is Hilarious!

Dogs love getting into garbage cans because there are usually tasty treats in them, and most always do it when no human is around.  “Man’s and Woman’s Best Friend” do it over and over, even though they like pleasing their owner…the question is why?

When you watch this adorably funny video of Matzo being found in the vicinity of the overturned trash, it sure looks like he is guilty…but is it really guilt?  Melissa walks into the kitchen and questions him, in a half stern, half amused voice (actually giggling at times).

Melissa can’t help but laugh, and so will you, when you see the sweet dog’s reaction to the confrontation.  Many dog pros say that the seemingly guilty (and funny) reaction to dog mischief like Matzo’s, really has more to do with understanding he has displeased Melissa.

In actuality, he doesn’t make the association as to why, unless he were to be caught in the act and reprimanded.  The delicious enjoyment of the scraps in the garbage always keeps him going back to do it again, even though he doesn’t like being scolded.  So, I guess you could say Matzo feels guilty, but he has no idea why!

This Dog’s Human Tells Her It’s Time To Clean Her Ears. Her Reaction Is Hysterical.

Lots of dogs hate being groomed, whether it’s taking a bath or having their nails trimmed, they just don’t like it. The one thing that all dogs seem to absolutely loathe above everything else is having their ears cleaned, and who can blame them. Having liquid squirted into sensitive ears is a very uncomfortable, weird, and strangely disconcerting experience!

This puppy’s reaction upon hearing that it’s time for her to get her ears cleaned says it all about how it makes them feel. The adorable Labrador Retriever’s name is Denver and if she looks familiar you’ve probably seen her before. Back in 2011 her owner uploaded a video of her titled Denver the Guilty Dog which quickly went viral and has since amassed over 46.7 million views!

Every once in awhile new video updates come out and in this one we get to see Denver making her signature funny faces. Her dad is about to clean her ears and can be seen holding the bottle of cleaning solution up for both her and us to see. In the video caption he wrote that “Denver hates getting her ears cleaned and medicated from all the creek play time. Here’s what we get…” Check it out and watch her unique reaction it’s hilarious!

She looks absolutely adorable in a way that only she can pull off as she huffs and bares her teeth with a goofy grin plastered across her face. That’s her trade-mark expression, it’s not her being aggressive at all, and as you can see her tail is wagging the entire time. Denver knows whats coming and does not like it one bit but having her ears cleaned is necessary to keeping her clean and healthy.

There’s something oddly special and cute about Denver’s facial expressions and the reaction seen here is the same one she sports in her guilty-looking video that originally made her famous. Maybe she thinks it will get her out of whatever is coming next. Either way you can’t help but smile when you see her reaction!

Mama Asks Her Dog To Make His Happy Face. He Proceeds To Make The Most Hysterical Face Ever.

A relaxed and smiling dog is a happy and content dog, at least that’s the viewpoint most people have in regards to their pets upturned facial expressions. While that could very well be the case for many animals, when it comes to dogs a smile is not as simple and straight-forward as we often assume it to be.

Dogs have their own special way of showing happiness that doesn’t always include smiling with their mouths. Instead, many dogs express emotions of joy and contentment through their overall body language. When a dog appears completely loose and at ease, with their mouth parted and tongue hanging slightly out, then they are well and truly happy.

In regards to a human looking smile on a dog’s face that could be an indication of a number of things that include anxiety, aggression, subordination, nervousness, or even fear. It differs from dog to dog and the key to deciphering whether or not it’s a genuine smile lies in both the context of the situation and the at rest of their body language.

In the case of the dog featured in this video, his smile is as real as can be! The handsome yellow lab knows how to turn the charm on and gives the camera his best goofy-looking grin, all on command. When his mom tells him to smile he instantly raises the corners of his mouth, it’s so darn cute! As you can see, his body language tells us that he’s relaxed as can be. In fact, he’s so relaxed that he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. And while his tongue doesn’t loll out of his mouth, it likely would have, had he been fully awake and alert.

This is one intelligent and adorable dog, be sure to check out his awesome smile and pass it on because it’ll instantly brighten anyone’s day!
