He Places Tea Bags All Over His Car. THIS Reason Is Unexpectedly GENIUS!

image via – facebook.com

Tea is second only to water for ranking among the top consumed beverages in the world. According to teausa.com, it can be found in almost 80% of all U.S. households and on any given day over 158 million Americans will drink it.

By far it’s one of the most versatile drinks and can be served in countless different ways. However, you don’t always have to drink your tea to enjoy it and there are lots of additional uses that tea bags can be put to. One of the best ways they come in handy is by freshening up smelly, damp places.

Some people toss them in shoes and garbage cans to stave off odors, and as the One Pot Chef Show explains, they work just as well in cars. No one likes riding around in a stinky car and if you spend a lot of time in your automobile, you want it to smell good.

The best, most cost-effective way to achieve a pleasant smelling car is by placing a few tea bags all around the interior. Put a couple under the seats, in the glove compartment, ashtray, seat or door pockets, and anywhere else you can hide them.

The dry tea bags not only release their own pleasing scent, they also work to absorb any excess moisture or odors that may be present in the air. They work better in comparison to store bought car-fresheners because they actually eliminate odors instead of just temporarily masking them as the store varieties tend to do.

This won’t even cost you a penny if you have an extra box of tea laying around that you don’t really like or will probably never end up drinking. Instead of throwing it out, re-purpose it and freshen up your car.

The best types of teas for a fresh smelling car are the flavored varieties and both cinnamon and vanilla are recommended by the one pot chef, but really any fragrance you prefer or have on hand will do.

Tea’s deodorizing aspects work wonders and the bags can be placed in stinky shoes, refrigerators, garbage cans, around litter boxes, and anywhere else that bad odors pop up.

The tea bags last several months and should be replaced when needed to keep your car smelling clean. Just one box will last a long time and easily covers a year. Plus, since the average box of tea costs less than five dollars, it’ll save you a lot of money.

Try it today and see what a wonderful difference they can end up making!

This Is Why There Is Extra Wood On The End Of Your Chopsticks. I’m So Glad I Learned THIS!

image via – youtube.com

If you’ve ever used disposable chopsticks then you know how tricky handling them for the first time can be. While some people are naturals at using the eating utensils, for most of us it takes a little more time, patience, and practice to truly master the art.

And unless you eat a lot of Chinese takeout, you probably don’t use them all that often. When you do happen to come across a pair, the first thing you have to do is unwrap them from the packaging. Next, you split them apart and break them in two, now they are ready for grabbing food and eating with.

If you’re like me and millions of other people who do exactly that, you just used your chopsticks wrong. That’s because there is a better, more useful way to break them apart. Instead of snapping them in half, break off the very top portion and then use that piece as a chopstick rest.

Now you have a clean spot off the table to rest your chopsticks and nothing will end up getting dirty. The clever trick has been described by many as a chopstick life hack after an Australian woman, who goes by the name BortofDarkness on Twitter, posted an image of it which quickly went viral.

The internet responded and for the most part people are fascinated by the information. Some even shared other related life hacks of their own. A popular tip that many people swear by involves modifying chopsticks to make them a lot easier to use.

The simple trick requires just a rubber band and a thin strip of paper. In this short video DaveHax shows you how to make a pair of user-friendly chopsticks. These are great for beginners and those who always seem to struggle with chopsticks, so be sure to check it out.

All you need to do is wrap a rubber band around one end of the chopsticks. Roll up a little piece of paper and slide it down in between the 2 sticks until it reaches the spot right in front of the rubber band. When you close the chopsticks it will spring back open since the rubber band and piece of paper give it resistance.

This makes them similar to tongs in that they grab food, and picking things up this way is a lot easier to do than with traditionally held chopsticks. Give it a try the next time you order some tasty lo mein and see if it works for you!

It Seems Like A Normal Camper But It’s Hiding An Incredible Secret. I’m Speechless!

image via – youtube.com

At first glance, this camper appears to be normal, albeit a little quirky for some people’s tastes. It’s life-sized and fully functioning with a tow hitch, safety lights, and everything else you’d need to haul it around. However, upon closer inspection something a little strange comes to light about this caravan, which sets it apart from any other RV or camper you have ever seen before.

That’s because it’s made completely out of thousands of LEGO pieces! The camper was special made for the 2015 Motorhome & Caravan Show that was held at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham, UK. It was unveiled there and placed on display this past October 13th-18th.

According to the show’s organizer and marketing campaign director James Bissett “We wanted to create something truly unique to celebrate 130 years of leisure caravanning and we are absolutely delighted with our record-breaking model.” Also present at the unveiling was a Guinness World Records adjudicator who presented an official certificate recognizing the camper as the biggest LEGO camper ever. The last camper that held this honor was made from just 20,000 LEGO pieces, a far cry from this one.

That’s because to build this world record holding camper it took a whopping grand total of 215,158 LEGO bricks. In addition, a team of 12 professional LEGO builders worked for well over 1,000 hours for 12 weeks straight. When it was all said and done the project measured in at 2.2 meters tall and 3.6 meters long, the size of other similar types of campers on the market.

Watch as the life sized camper comes to life in this cool video that shows the entire process sped up, from brick number one to brick number 215,158. The type of caravan they chose to replicate is what’s called a “teardrop” style caravan.

It features all the modern amenities you’d expect, such as electric lighting, a sink with running water, and a table and seats that transform into a bed. The designers didn’t stop there though, they thoughtfully chose to include a chess set, toothbrushes, and even a partially stocked fridge and cooking stove, all of which were expertly crafted out of LEGOs!

The show’s organizers definitely had the right idea, the caravan model is really unique and unexpected. It’s something the whole family can enjoy and check out, and who doesn’t love LEGOs?!

image via – youtube.com

Vicks VapoRub has been around forever, as a staple to relieve chest congestion and coughing, that brings back childhood memories of our moms taking care of us. While today, the go-to treatments usually come in the form of pills or tablets, Vicks is still in business treating ailments with Vapors.

The most important ingredients in Vicks, that relieve congestion and coughing through breathing in, are Camphor, Eucalyptus Oil and Menthol. Though this is fairly well known, what is not common knowledge is that Vicks lends itself to other home remedies. Perhaps, it is the many unusual uses of Vicks, that has kept it on the shelves of our pharmacies for so many decades.

Some of the suggestions made in the video below, for Vick’s fresh, strong-smelling ointment are for: Relief of common Headaches; pain relief will come quickly when Vicks is applied to your temples. LiveStrong suggests breathing in slowly and deeply after placing Vicks under your nose.

Muscle ache relief can be achieved when Vicks is massaged in, followed by wrapping your muscles in a dry, warm towel, according to LiveStrong.

Toenail fungus can be alleviated by rubbing VapoRub into them, 2-3 times per day; this may be required for a few weeks, and perhaps months to beat the fungus.

Cracked heels are one of the worst parts of the wear and tear of winter. If you put Vicks on the heels and balls of your feet, paying particular attention to the most cracked areas, and then sleep with socks on you are on your way to repair.
eHow suggests that when you awake rinse the Vicks with warm water and use a pumice stone to exfoliate the dead skin.

AnswersVideo tells us that bugs can be repelled by putting a touch of Vicks on your clothing and skin. If for some reason, you are just too sweet for the bugs to resist, use the Vicks to relieve itching.

For all you Cat Lovers, who don’t love having your kitties scratch your furniture, dab on Vicks and they will stay away!

As long as you don’t have an open wound, a mixture of Vicks and salt can be applied, for faster healing. This seems to occur by the combo aiding your blood to circulate more rapidly, which promotes faster healing.
