If you own a home or apartment you know that cleaning and doing housework can be a never ending process especially if you have children or pets. Sometimes it seems like the faster you clean up the more the mess begins to pile up. Pretty much everyone in the world has to deal with the annoying task of housework and cleaning a dirty rooms. When cleaning and doing housework it is pretty common to sometimes get small scrapes or cuts that are usually no big deal.
You get a little soap, rubbing alcohol or antibacterial lotion place it on the little wound and go about your day. Our bodies have amazing healing capabilities and usually our natural immunity and defenses can take care of these types of things.
With major advances in modern medicine our human life expectancy is the highest it’s ever been. With all this being said we are not invincible, not by a long shot. Even though we can live longer due to these amazing advances in medicine, our bodies still break down and can be vulnerable to infections and disease.
This brings us to today’s story which comes all the way from Hubei, China. Mrs. Zhang a otherwise healthy 53-year-old woman was just going about her day doing a little tidying up around the house. Mrs. Zhang had no underlying illnesses or diseases. As she cleaned up her house she got a few little scrapes and cuts.
She noticed the small cuts on her hands washed them thoroughly and didn’t think much of it. However 48 hours later she looked down where the small scrapes were and noticed that a bruise was starting to form around the area. Again Mrs. Zhang just thought it was her bodies natural defense and healing process and didn’t think it was necessary to go to the doctor for the bruises that were forming.
Then as the days progressed these strange bruises began spreading throughout her entire hand and fingers. Her fingers were starting to change color and began turning dark and even their shape began to change! Mrs. Zhang was extremely alarmed and immediately made an appointment with her doctor to see what the heck was going on. By the time she got to the doctor her left hand was almost completely black and her right hand was starting to look about the same.
The doctor examined her hands and quickly realized what was going on. Both of her hands were diagnosed with Gangrene! To be more specific it was a form of Gangrene called Dry Gangrene which unlike normal Gangrene does not have an unpleasant odor. However Dry Gangrene can be just as dangerous as normal Gangrene. The blackness of her hands was due to the necrosing or death of her tissues which was literally killing all the cells in her fingers and hands.
The doctor immediately sent her to a specialist at a hospital who was more familiar with this rare condition that was slowly eating away and killing her hands and fingers. At the hospital they began treating her with antibiotics. They also began removing the blackened tissue which must be done to fully recover from Gangrene.
At first she showed some signs of healing but the Gangrene was so aggressive that she will never have full use of her hands and fingers again! Even worse if the doctors are unable to fully remove the damaged tissue her fingers may have to be amputated! Luckily a good portion of her hands were not affected by the aggressive gangrene and she should be able to recover. If untreated Gangrene can inevitably lead to death!
Mrs. Zhang’s story is a good reminder to stay vigilant and trust your gut. If your body is telling you something just isn’t right, trust it and go to the doctor as soon as possible! The worst thing you can do is wait too long and then your disease and infection will become untreatable!

What Does Your Tongue Reveal About Your Health? Go To A Mirror And Check Yours Right Now!
The condition of your tongue can be a strong indicator of your overall health, and particular colors, sores or texture of the tongue will give you specific indicators of what is going on. Now here’s the good news! Seeing hills and valleys on your tongue are normal patterns that indicate you have a Healthy Mouth! Always check with your doctor or dentist if you feel like something isn’t right. The following are conditions of the tongue that may indicate something might be wrong.
A Bright Red tongue, over a period of time and not related to a red food you have eaten, can be indicative of a Deficiency of Vitamin B complex and Iron. It may also show a sensitivity or allergy to a particular toothpaste, medicine or acidic food.
As bad as it looks, dark coloration or Black Hairy Tongue, is not dangerous. It is a sign of very poor dental hygiene, that results in an overgrowth of tongue papillae (“hair”) that traps bacteria. As disgusting as it looks, it is easily remedied by improving dental hygiene.
A White or Powdery looking tongue means the same thing as Black or Yellow Tongue; bacteria stuck in dense tongue hair due to poor oral hygiene. The causes may be the same as well: dry mouth, smoking, or a yeast infection which can come from antibiotics, all contribute to the tongue’s ability to fight bacteria that get stuck in the papillae.
A Pale or Yellow Tongue may also indicate low hemoglobin or problems in the lungs or colon. This symptom should be checked by a physician.
Small Cracks are usually a sign of aging, while White Patches are mouth irritations that often appear on the bottom of the tongue. More commonly found in smokers, these lesions should be checked by an oral surgeon, who will determine if biopsy is indicated to rule out cancer. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Small Red Lumps should be examined immediately, as they could be indicative of oral cancer. You shouldn’t think twice about seeing an oral surgeon for biopsy.
Painful sores in the mouth are usually a stress reaction that are very painful. They will often disappear with reduction of stress, but if they don’t, or if they keep coming back, you should have a professional evaluate them.
As you can see the tongue can give you a great deal of information to help you to monitor your health. Watch the video below for further discussion of this important topic.

This Man Died Days After This Red Spot Showed Up. When The Docs Figured Out Why They Freaked!
A man in Kansas died a horrifying death six months ago, which completely shocked his doctors, who had no explanation for what had caused his demise. It is just now, that the cause has been determined. It is a new virus that is being transmitted through ticks, that is just hitting the United States.
Because the disease is viral, no antibiotic can treat it (as is the case with lyme disease), and as such is posing a terrible threat. According to the infectious disease experts studying this, nothing like this has ever been seen in the Western hemisphere. Its genome is similar to diseases seen in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.
Because the man who died lived in Bourbon County, Kansas they have dubbed this illness the Bourbon virus which the infectious disease authorities believe is being carried by ticks. It is being studied intensively to determine what in the genome caused the anorexia, severe muscle pain and extremely high fever that was untreatable and ultimately killed this man. This Isn’t a Regular Insect. If You See One Do Not Go Near It. The Reason is Scary
Kissing bugs sound like nice, innocent insects, but they are the exact opposite of that description. The little pests are actually blood sucking parasites who feed on animals and people. They earned the “kissing” name because they tend to operate by biting their sleeping victims around the eye and mouth areas.
In some cases the nasty bugs are even deadly because they are responsible for spreading Chagas disease to both humans and animals. Chagas was once a rare parasitic infection but not anymore. A growing number of people in South America and the US are contracting it. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that approximately 8 million people in Mexico, Central, and South America have Chagas, while in the US over 300,000 people are currently infected. Many of those who have it are unaware they’ve been infected and it can be life threatening if left untreated. Furthermore, Kissing bugs also transmit Chagas to pets and animals. Dogs are among the most susceptible to the disease and in the state of Texas, where kissing bugs are increasingly common, about 400 of them have died as a result of Chagas already.
The kissing bugs responsible for all of this death and disease are called by their scientific name “Triatomine Bugs.” They bite their unsuspecting victims around the eyes and mouth and when their feces comes into contact with either the bite area, or a mucous membrane like an eye, they pass the parasite known as Trypanosoma Cruzi to the host. The parasite is spread in this gross manner because it lives in the bug’s feces and that happens to be the main way in which it enters a person or animal’s body. As if that wasn’t already nasty enough, dogs can contract Chagas in other ways, such as by eating the bugs or infected animal feces.
Once a person or animal has been infected they usually remain unaware that they have the disease until it’s progressed to a later, and more serious, stage. Furthermore, in some cases it may be asymptomatic, meaning there are no symptoms whatsoever until one appears suddenly out of nowhere. This later point is why it’s being called the “silent killer” and people are being urged to familiarize themselves the signs and symptoms of Chagas disease, which include the following; confusion, weakness, diarrhea, loss of appetite, depression, lethargy, swollen abdomen, a lack of coordination, seizures or jerky movements, and increased heart rate.
There are currently tests available that can detect Chagas if you ever want to get tested. If you suspect you may have it then definitely get tested right away because when the disease is found early enough it can usually be successfully treated and the harmful side-effects lessened. Please pass this information on so that others are aware of the dangers that kissing bugs pose, and monitor pets health for any signs of chagas disease.

Doctors Warn People To Stop Using E-Cigs Because They Are Linked To a New Disease Popcorn Lung
While e-cigarettes are now being used as a “safe” alternative to cigarettes, as the “vaping” mechanism eliminates a lot of the smoke that builds up tar in the lungs, a new study has shown alarming links to a serious lung disease.
Because “flavorings” are used in this vaporized version of cigarettes, there is now deep concern in the medical community linking e-cigarettes to a disease called obliterative bronchiolitis, or “POPCORN LUNG”. In 2000, an investigation into the severe form of bronchitis being found in microwaveable popcorn factory workers, led the “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” to conclude that the toxic chemical “Diacetyl” was responsible. Diacetyl was found in 39 of the most popular brands of flavored e-cigarettes! The Harvard School of Public Health found the link between e-cigarettes and Popcorn Lung, which was reported by “AOL News”.
The video you are about to watch below compares regular cigarettes to e-cigarettes. It is very important to watch this footage, and come to an educated decision about continuing to smoke e-cigarettes, given what we know and don’t know about this alternative. The bronchial symptoms, cited by “For The People”, of POPCORN LUNG include:
1. Wheezing
2. Dry cough
3. Abnormal shortness of breath
4. Wheezing
5. Weight loss
6. Night sweats,
7. Fever
8. Fatigue
Very often Popcorn Lung, an irreversible and often life-threatening disease, gets misdiagnosed. Although no longitudinal studies have yet been done, given how new e-cigarette smoking is, we do know that Popcorn lung can be devastating. Let us know your thoughts after watching the footage below.

13 Signs and Symptoms You Have a Thyroid Condition and May Not Even Know It.
Without a properly functioning thyroid gland, living a healthy, normal, balanced life is all but impossible to enjoy. That is because the gland, located in the front base of our necks, is responsible for producing all of the hormones our bodies need to function. These hormones help control metabolism and are what our other vital organs rely on for energy in order to work efficiently and properly.
It naturally follows that thyroid hormones can have a huge impact on how different parts of the body work, including the heart, liver, muscles, brain, and more. When the thyroid gland is under-active and does not produce enough thyroid hormone, it leads to a disorder known as hypothyroidism. The most common causes of an under-active thyroid are a lack of sufficient iodine in one’s diet, an underlying autoimmune disease, such as Hashimoto’s, and radiation treatment.
In terms of iodine deficiency, a change in diet can help ensure that you are getting enough. The human body does not make its own supply of iodine and so eating foods that are naturally rich in iodine, such as organic yogurt, cranberries, navy beans, strawberries, potatoes, cheddar or cheese made with goat’s milk, can help thyroid function. Thankfully there is an easy way to diagnose hypothyroidism, via a blood test, and from there it can be managed and treated with hormone therapy.
If left untreated, hypothyroidism can lead to a variety of different health issues. Joint pain, obesity, heart disease, infertility, depression, and even coma can result from the condition. By knowing what symptoms to look out for you can avoid those complications and get treatment before it spirals out of control. Here are the most common signs of hypothyroidism:
1. Sudden and unexplained weight gain 2. Muscle weakness 3. General fatigue 4. Constipation 5. Memory loss 6. Thinning, coarse, or dry hair 7. Rough, dry, pale skin 8. Puffy face 9. Sensitivity and/or intolerance to cold 10. Depression 11. Increased irritability 12. Muscle aches and cramps 13. Abnormal menstrual cycle with heavier or irregular periods in women
