If You’re Using Black or Red Sheets On Your Bed Throw Them Out Right Now. THIS Reason Is Scary!

Bed bug infestation is truly one of the worse experiences I’ve ever gone through. My daughter came home from a college dorm and brought these horrid critters in her suitcase. Because they have developed a resistance to insecticides, they are getting harder and harder to get rid of. We had to get rid of two beds in our house!
Recently researchers who study bed bugs, found that they consistently have an amazing preference, that could prevent the breeding of bed bugs in your home to begin with.
In the video you are about to watch below, from the Mayo Clinic, one of the researchers explains the finding…bed bugs have a definite preference for certain colors, while they show no interest in other ones!
The original study was done by researchers at the University of Florida and Union College in Lincoln. Some of the details of how color preference was tested will be shown in the footage below. The results showed that bed bugs have a strong preference for RED AND BLACK, while they actually avoided GREEN and YELLOW.
As you will hear, this preference is believed to be evolutionary and based on adaptation. This will also be explained, but for now all I have to say is that my RED SHEETS won’t be seeing any of the beds in my house, and although I don’t have Black sheets I will not be using the dark navy or dark brown ones.
Having been through a bed bug siege, I will go to any lengths to avoid the chaos that ensued. Let us know what you think after watching the video.

Instead Of Tossing Her Old CDs In The Trash, She Paints Them Black. But, When She’s Done? STUNNING
image via – youtube.com
It is simply amazing how rapidly technology changes; who would have thought that CD’s would already be virtually obsolete! We all have a multitude of old CDs lying around our homes collecting dust. Leave it to the creative people on the internet, to come up with a really unique way of turning them into artwork, that you’d be proud to hang on your walls.
It is always a wonderful thing to be able to decorate your house with your own artwork; it adds that quality of “hominess” that really transitions a house to a home. The video you are about to watch below offers a tutorial, that simply requires CD’s, BLACK LATEX PAINT, and a SCREWDRIVER! You can add a pencil to your tools, if you want to sketch your design before the “SCRATCHING” begins.
You will be enthralled with the beauty of this unique creation. After coating the CD well with the black latex paint, let it dry fully. If you want to be more in control of your design you can pencil it onto the disc before you begin scratching.
If you’re not that OCD about it, just pick up your screwdriver, as she does in the video, and create to your hearts delight!
The results are just gorgeous; if you choose to place your objet d’arts where sunlight catches them, you will get a beautiful glistening effect.

When You See A Woman Wearing This Small Black Circle. It Means THIS..
In this day and age personal safety is always a concern for people, yet it’s often overlooked. While there are many different options and things available to choose from to increase your well-being, they aren’t always the best fit for everyone. The most common personal protection items like pepper spray, rape whistles, mace, tasers, and handguns often come with strings attached.
They are usually highly regulated or illegal to carry in certain places, expensive, ineffective, and some people just don’t feel comfortable carrying such an item with them. Plus, even if someone does end up with mace or a taser in their purse, it can be hard or impossible to get to it in time if and when they actually are attacked.
However, there is now a new personal safety device available that can protect people from physical assaults with just the touch of a button. It’s called Athena and it’s a simple, easy to access, wearable button that emits an extremely loud alarm and alerts others to possible trouble.
In the event that someone wearing it is attacked all they need to do is press the button for 3 seconds. That will immediately activate an alarm the company describes is “louder than a freight train” to scare the attacker off and grab the attention of others nearby.
Also, after the button is pushed text messages containing your exact location are sent to loved ones cell phones alerting them of the possible danger. These emergency contacts that you choose to receive the messages are further urged to contact the police.
The aim is to both stop the attack as soon as the button is pushed and to notify people who care and who can act on your behalf to get a police response if you are unable to.
In terms of how accessible it is users can wear it as jewelry on their wrists or as a necklace, tuck it into waistbands and under clothes, or clip it easily onto belts, bags, and other clothing items. The device is discreet in that it’s both small and lightweight, and it’s understated simple design doesn’t make it outwardly obvious.
It also can be carried anywhere and places where other personal security items cannot be taken, such as through security at airports and concerts. When it comes down to it, women are more likely to actually use the Athena device in the event of an attack over alternatives like guns, mace, or tasers.
It provides a safety net for wearers and empowers women in particular to go about their lives with an added layer of security. The device has already raised and far exceeded its $40,000 funding goal on Indiegogo and if you’d like one for yourself you can claim one on that site before they are available for retail purchase.

If You Notice A Black Line On Your Nail Or Someone Else’s It Means THIS
Hands are possibly the most used human body part of all and because of that they often end up taking quite a beating. Day after day we wash them over and over, sometimes things get smashed into them, and other times we jam them into places like doors and tight cracks!
This inevitably leads to other parts of our hands sustaining damage, especially our nails. When our finger nails sustain trauma they usually turn black or blue from bruising or blood trapped under the nail. However, if you notice a dark spot on your nail, that suddenly appears out of no where and for no apparent reason, you should get it checked out immediately because it may be skin cancer.
That was the case when Melanie Williams went to the doctor to have an odd black spot on her thumb examined. She initially brushed it off as a wart or possible fungal infection but decided to have it looked at just to be safe. About two weeks after it first appeared she went to her doctor, and it’s a good thing she did.
It turned out to be nail cancer, or more specifically melanoma which is a type of skin cancer, and it had to be removed as soon as possible to prevent the cancer from spreading to other parts of her body. She ended up having surgery and lost half of her thumb, but she was lucky that she caught it in time before it got much worse. She shared her story with the world in order to bring increased attention to the subject that not many people are aware of.
There are several things you can look out for, but if you ever suspect you may have nail cancer it’s crucial that you have a doctor check it out right away. Generally speaking, the most commonly affected nails are the thumb and index finger on hands and the big toe on feet. It was also noted in the video that nail cancer is most prevalent in African Americans.
The warning signs to look for include whether or not the stripe is very dark and if it has blurred borders. Also, changes in the appearance of the stripe matter and the patient’s history always comes into play, especially if cancer runs in the family.
When it comes to treating nail cancer, the stage it has reached matters most in determining how much skin, nail, or finger needs to be removed. For less advanced types the skin and nail around the spot is removed, while more advanced cancers often require the complete surgical amputation of fingers.
While most dark spots and stripes on nails are not cancer, it’s always good to be aware of the possibility that one strange, bothersome spot could potentially turn out to be just that. As with other types of cancer, the sooner it’s detected the better the chances for beating and being cured of it. Please pass this information on to friends and share it with family to help spread nail cancer awareness.
