It has always fascinated me how certain birds have the capability to imitate sounds that they hear. Sometimes it can be annoying when they keep repeating the same words over and over; often it is funny when they say off color phrases they have heard. However, some birds have huge vocabularies and don’t just repeat the same words over and over.
The cockatiel is a beautiful multicolored bird, who has particularly great ability to mimic sounds. The cockatiel’s colorful exterior only contributes to a fraction of it’s magnificent character. As is the norm, this male that you will listen to in this video, has an exemplary talent for whistling and singing tunes he has heard.
The males have this inbred ability for it’s beautiful musical tones in order to attract the female species. Watch what happens as this particularly talented bird is accompanied on the piano by its owner. These Two Women Were In Their Boat But When They Looked Up They Saw THIS
Two girls enjoying a canoe ride on the River Shannon had the luck of the Irish on their side when they happened across a beautiful display, courtesy of mother nature. They had set out on the water to do some exploring and took their cameras along to document the trip. After rowing only a few paces they looked up and saw thousands of birds filling the sky above them.
The birds were starlings and when they flock together in such large numbers it becomes an event known as a murmuration. The sight of all the birds moving in unison, swirling around, gracefully twisting, and swiftly flying back and forth is breathtaking to behold.
However, these aerial shows are almost always caused by the presence of a too close for comfort falcon. In order to put a safe distance between a predator and themselves the starlings use the murmuration’s movements, along with strength in numbers, as a defense mechanism. Just like all flocks of birds, there is no one leader. Instead, the movement of the flock is governed collectively by each and every member.
What makes starling flocks stand out from other flocks is the fluidity of their motions. When one bird changes either speed or direction, each and every other bird does so as well, adjusting almost simultaneously. The speed and accuracy of their movements in such large numbers is unrivaled by any other animal in nature. The starlings exhibit such a unique collective response that scientists have tried to study it. However the mystery endures as to how they manage to coordinate in such seemingly perfect interconnectedness.

Mom Tells Cockatoo He Can’t Eat The Donut. The Bird Proceeds To Throw The Most Hysterical Tantrum.
Any pet owner will readily tell you just how much their beloved animals are full of life, personality, and surprises. It seems that bird owners in particular are honed in on their feathered friend’s traits and antics, especially those with cockatoos and other talking parrots. Maybe it’s because they tend to spend a lot of time and effort working with and talking to the birds, but whatever the reason may be, they’re often extremely bonded and close to them.
Living with a cockatoo often translates into a couple of things. One is that you’re in for a good time, and two is that you’ll never end up feeling lonely because you’ll always have someone to chit-chat with!
Out of the many cool things that a cockatoo enjoys, talking is probably their most favorite pastime activity. The clever birds love to mimic the sounds they hear the most frequently and with a little time and practice they’re often able to nail them exactly.
Between all of their energy and the quirky things they do, the chatter of them talking, and all the other strange noises they make, life with a cockatoo never gets boring! Some are notorious tricksters who try to get away with a lot of naughty things, like the adorable one in this clip named Jersey.
The cute cockatoo thought that she had narrowly gotten away with eating a piece of her owner’s donut but her sweet-scented breath, that smelled suspiciously of donuts, gave her away! When her owner spoke up and said something about the matter, Jersey didn’t want to hear it. Her mom first asked her “Who said you could have a donut?” and in response the plucky bird raced back and forth on her perch, bobbed her head firmly, and responded with what sounded like “Me!”
After being scolded by her mom for the donut issue Jersey got real feisty and started sassing back at her. She flapped her wings, squeaked and squawked up a storm, all while strutting back and forth on a branch. Her mini-temper tantrum is too cute and shows just how high spirited cockatoos often are. And while she may be missing a few feathers, that just seems to make her more endearing.
It’s not clear as to why she has bald patches of missing feathers. The most common causes of it are either disease or frustration and boredom, but it could just as well be due to a number of other things like genetics, a hormone imbalance, or over-preening by a fellow bird friend.
Whatever the case may be, Jersey is clearly loved and adored by her owner who shows her lots of attention and affection. The clip is a welcome change from all of those cute cat and dog ones out there so be sure to check it out and if you’re a bird lover then this will definitely make you smile!

He Says Hi To a Strange Wild Raven That Approaches. The Bird Has A Very Naughty Response.
If there is one thing for certain when it comes to wild animals, it’s that they are always full of surprises! The black bird in this hilarious video clip is no exception to that sentiment. It manages to really shock the heck out of the couple it chose to interact with and once you see what it does, you’ll be flabbergasted too!
The wild bird appears to be either a raven or a crow but it’s hard to be certain for sure which one it is because the video quality isn’t the best and both species look very similar in appearance. Either way, these two types of birds are incredibly smart so what happens here is totally understandable.
The bird landed right at the feet of a man who was relaxing and sitting outside on a bench while chatting with a woman. The little feathered fella then hopped up next to him and perched on the armrest, so that the two were practically at eye level with one another. The woman can be heard in the background encouraging the man to try and pet the friendly bird, but he takes one look at its long, pointy beak and says no way! At this point it’s quite amazing that the bird is chilling on the bench alongside the man, let alone that it landed so close to him in the first place. But what happens next is the funniest, most unexpected thing ever. The bird opens its mouth and says clearly ‘bleep you’ to the man!
Upon hearing that the guy bursts out laughing and repeats the curse aloud, it’s as if he can’t believe what he just heard this innocent looking little bird say to him. He’s not alone, that was the last thing anyone would expect to happen! Plus, where in the world did a wild bird pick up such foul language?
This video just goes to show how intelligent certain bird species are and both ravens and crows are at the top of the avian IQ scale. They have passed numerous logic tests including ones that test their ability to count and work in steps in order to solve problems. In addition, they have been observed using tools and love to play around, both of which are behaviors associated with intelligent animals. Daddy Tries To Put a Leash On His Parrot. The Bird Proceeds To Throw The Most Hysterical Temper Tantrum.
Eric The Legend lives up to his name because he is exactly that, a real living legend! His awesomely insane behavior and crazy antics have more than earned him the lofty title, as you’ll soon see. Once you watch this clip of him in action it will all make sense as to why even he refers to himself as a “*beep*ing legend!” If you don’t like hearing curse words, even from the mouth of a bird, consider this a warning; Eric loves to swear. Before we get into the crazy world of Eric and his loving owners, here’s a little bit of background information on the feisty fella. Eric is a Cockatoo, a parrot sub-species that is very well known for being loud-mouthed. However, he cranks the noisiness up to a whole new deafening level.
When things don’t go his way, or he simply dislikes something, he makes it known to everyone within shouting distance by screeching and screaming at the top of his little bird lungs. He also won’t hesitate to curse someone out and that is what you see happening in this video. His hissy fits and tantrums are legendary across the internet. Eric could possibly be the most famous Cockatoo in the world today.
His father, Lester, was attempting to get him ready so that he could take him outside for one of his beloved daily walks, but Eric was having none of it. He usually loves going on walks, where he gets to gather local flowers and snack on seeds and nuts, but a change of scenery wasn’t in the cards on this day. As soon as he saw his collar in Lester’s hands he freaked out and threw a major hissy fit! He stomped wildly back and forth, squawked loudly, and acted really naughty.
At one point his dad laid the blue harness on a chair beside him and the flustered little parrot tossed it angrily on the floor. After Lester picked it up he tried once again to slip it on Eric but he didn’t get far. In fact, all that he really managed to do was tick Eric off even more, to the point where he lashed out and bit him on the hand! To add insult to injury the spirited cockatoo threw a few choice curse words towards his dad, who’s more than used to hearing them, and which had everyone cracking up!
Apparently, it turns out that Eric only likes it when his mother puts the harness on him because she knows how to do it the right way and has the magic touch. Lester never really stood a chance against his crazy bird son and Eric the Legend strikes again!

She Brings Her Cockatoo To The Store And Gets Him a Toy. The Bird Then Throws a Hysterical Tantrum
Many people love bringing their adorable pets along with them when they stop in to visit the pet store. It’s not only convenient, it also offers them a new way to socialize their animals by getting them out of the house and their familiar surroundings. While dogs are by far the most common pet you’ll spot in a store, every now and then someone brings in a cat or a hamster or even their pet pig.
It’s not very often that anyone brings in their pet cockatoo and this video clip sheds some light onto one of the reasons why this may be so! Cockatoos rank among the loudest animals in the world and the shrill, high pitched noises they make can be ear splitting. Combine that with the fact that they love to talk and scream and you get Pickles, the white cockatoo seen here.
Pickles owner brought her feathered friend along with her to the pet store and let’s just say that he wasn’t all that thrilled about the outing. As a peace offering she gave him a tasty treat to chew on but he was unimpressed with the gift and tossed it on the floor. Then the little guy started squawking up a storm and moments later he had managed to work himself up into a noisy fit.
His feathers were really ruffled after a few stern words from his mother and that’s when Pickles proceeded to throw the most hysterical tantrum! He flapped around on his grocery cart perch and noisily stomped back and forth across the handle bar as he made a scene. This is definitely one cockatoo with some major attitude. He’s loud, in charge, and knows it!
