If you have ever enjoyed a tasty blooming onion then you will love this healthy take on that good old deep fried favorite loved by so many! The oven baked recipe is easy to make and prepare, all you need is onions, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper (optional). The onion will come out of the oven tender, tasty, full of flavor, and makes a beautiful colorful addition to any food it’s served with!
Below is the onion flower recipe! Start by gathering the ingredients; 4 red onions, 3 Tbsp. olive oil, 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. If you plan on serving this as a side dish with other food on a plate it is best to use smaller sized red onions and if it’s an appetizer then larger ones will do!
Peel the onion and slice off the the bottom root part so that it can be set down flat without rolling around! Carefully cut down the center, but be sure not to cut all the way through, you want to leave about half an inch uncut so that the pieces stay together..
Then cut it in half again so you have 4 pieces, and finally cut each of those in half so you end up with a total of 8 segments, all joined together at the bottom. Place the onions in a bowl, pour the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over, and toss them until they are well coated.
After, transfer all four onions onto a greased baking dish, spreading them out evenly so they have room to cook. Drizzle the remaining oil and vinegar on and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake at 425° for 25-30 min!
When time is up take them out, remove the foil, and then bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes. When they come out of the oven the onions should be “blooming” and will have opened up in similar fashion to that of a flower’s petals unfolding.
They will be crisp on the outside and tender, juicy, and flavorful on the inside. Onions get sweeter when baked at high temps and these taste just as good as they look! Actually they taste better! 🙂
Let us know how yours turn out! Bon appetite! Enjoy!

Woman Cuts This Bread Into A Bunch Of Little Squares. When She’s Done YUM!
If you are ever in need of a quick, easy to make, crowd pleasing recipe to serve or bring to a gathering, then look no further. This cheesy bloomin’ onion bread looks just as good as it tastes and everyone will want to try a piece. It goes well with almost anything and is a tasty treat all on its own. Check out the recipe below and video for instructions on how to make it at home, and be sure to save and file it away for later use!
This recipe makes between 6 and 8 servings and can be made in under 30 minutes. Ingredients you will need include; 1 pound loaf of unsliced bread, 3.5 oz. matured cheddar cheese sliced thinly, 3.5 oz. mozzarella cheese sliced thinly, 1/3 cup melted butter, ½ cup chopped green onions, 2 tsp. flax and sesame seeds (optional). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit before cutting the bread length and width-wise, without cutting all the way through to the bottom crust, so it stays in one piece.
Place the cut bread on a foil lined baking sheet and insert the cheese slices between the cuts on the bread so they are evenly distributed throughout the loaf. Combine the chopped green onions with the melted butter and seeds, if you choose to use them, then pour the mixture into the bread cracks. Cover the bread with tinfoil and bake for 15 minutes. When time is up, remove the foil and place back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, gooey, and golden.
With a bake time of 25 minutes and prep time of about 5 minutes or less, this bread is the perfect item to make for a last minute snack. Plus, you can easily add on other ingredients or substitute alternative types of cheeses that better suit your tastes. Personally, I like to serve this with dipping sauces and olives; to each their own!

This Guy Mixes Peanut Butter With An Egg and Sugar. But By The End I’m Drooling!
You are about to learn how to make the best peanut butter cookies ever. The best part is, it only takes 3 ingredients that you most likely already have in your house, an egg, peanut butter and sugar. They don’t require flour and they will taste better than peanut butter cookies that do contain flour. On top of that they are healthier, and have just the right amount of sweetness, moistness and chewiness. Not to mention, the peanut butter adds a nice amount of protein and they are just so tasty.
They only take 5 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to bake. Because they are so easy, these cookies would be a really fun thing to make with the little ones as well. They are perfect to bring to a party or if you are just looking for a quick and simple homemade dessert for the family.
You can choose if you want chewy or smooth peanut butter. Also if you want them to be less sweet just use a little less sugar and they are still delectable. Bake them until they are golden crisp and enjoy! If you chef these up this weekend let us know how it goes! We always love to hear feedback about the recipes we feature here!
