Dad Didn’t Know His Child’s Babysitter Was a Monster! But Then The Family Dog Began Doing The Strangest Thing!

It’s never easy to leave your young child in the care of another person, but many people have to do it. Finding a good babysitter is just as stressful as leaving your child with them and so when Benjamin and Hope Jordan hired a woman to watch their newborn in the comfort of their home, they thought they had a good thing going.
The young couple were living in Charleston, South Carolina when they found twenty two year old Alexis Khan to care for Finn, their 7-month old son. She passed a background security check and seemed nice, responsible, and well spoken. Every weekday morning she would arrive promptly at their house before they headed out to work and stayed until they returned home in the afternoon. At first everything seemed to be going really well, there were no issues and the couple grew to trust Alexis. But at the five month point, things began to change.
The parents noticed that their dog Killian, a Labrador Retriever-German Shepherd mix, started to act very aggressive towards Alexis. He would growl and take up a protective stance, placing his body between her and Finn, whenever she came in the door. A couple of times the couple even had to hold Killian back because he would start going towards Alexis as if he was going to attack her.
They didn’t take the sudden change in their dog’s behavior lightly and knew something was wrong. Killian was normally a very sweet, friendly dog who had never acted so defensively towards anyone before. Instead of ignoring him, Benjamin and Hope decided to hide an iPhone under the living room couch to record what was going on while they were gone. They thought that maybe it would help shed light on why their dog hated the babysitter.
When they got home and checked the recording, they were shocked at what they heard. It started off with Alexis yelling and swearing at Finn while he cried. Their surprise quickly changed to horror when they heard slapping noises and their son crying out in obvious pain. From there it only got worse when they heard what seemed to be shaking sounds and after that they immediately brought their baby to the hospital to have him checked out. Shaking a baby can easily cause serious, permanent injuries or even death and they couldn’t rest until they knew Finn was okay.
Thankfully he was okay, and the abuse was reported to the police who investigated the babysitter. At first, she denied any wrongdoing but when they played the recording, she finally confessed to what she had done. After pleading guilty she was convicted of child abuse and sentenced to 3 years in jail but got released early on parole after serving just one year. Alexis also had to register with the child abuse registry which bars her from ever working with children again.
Killian ended up saving the day, and potentially even Finn’s life, thanks to his change in behavior. If he hadn’t been so aggressive and adamant, perhaps Benjamin and Hope would not have noticed or looked into Alexis. The dog isn’t done yet either, he ended up being trained to be a psychiatric service animal, which he is probably wonderful at!

This Sad Puppy Husky Just Got Dropped Off At His Babysitters. What He Says Melted My Heart
Separation anxiety is a psychological issue where people experience feelings of severe anxiety when they are separated from people or things that they are emotionally attached to. It most commonly arises in young children when they are away from their mothers or caregivers for the first time. The drastic change and being suddenly detached from the most comforting and closest person in their life is scary, uncomfortable, and brings on feelings of unease and distress.
It’s not just young children and people who experience anxiety brought on by being away from the people and things they love the most, dogs also go through it. Our four-legged friends often become very attached to their human companions and when they are apart from them they get really upset. One such dog is this adorable and feisty Husky named Simba, who is shown in this short video clip uploaded to YouTube by user Alex Bulmer. Alex was watching Simba for his friend and the poor puppy was going through all the emotions brought on by anxiety, and from being away from his closest human companion in the world. Even though Simba had a fellow puppy pal to play with, he just can’t seem to relax or get comfortable in his new surroundings.
The sad dog was pacing around, crying and whining, when he suddenly seems to ask for his mamma. Alex can’t believe what he just heard and asks Simba what he just said. Seconds later Simba gives the same reply of “I want my momma!” It’s clear to hear and the beautiful puppy has some excellent vocal skills, he definitely spoke those words!
Simba is still a very young puppy and with a little growing up, and exposure to new situations and environments, he will be less stressed when he’s on his own. Once he gets accustomed to being away from his owner and used to being around other people more often, he won’t be so anxious or upset. Just like in young children, it takes time to get used to new routines. It seems like fur babies have a lot more in common with human babies than just being cute, young, and adorable!

Hiring a babysitter is an arduous task and one that most mothers have to deal with. Maybe mom is returning to work or wants to go on a date night. She has to find someone who she can entrust with the safety of her precious child. For one couple, this proved more difficult than normal.
Arizona couple Chris and Whitney were happily raising their baby Raley. Chris was working full time and Whitney wanted to go back to law school. They knew that they would need to hire a nanny so Whitney could pursue her dream. They looked and looked but repeatedly came up short in the search for a suitable nanny.
Then, a voice from Whitney’s past reached out. Melissa, a fellow high school classmate of Whitney’s, reached out after seeing Whitney’s post of Facebook. Whitney did a background check on Melissa and saw only positive things. They met and the job was arranged
A few weeks later, Whitney and Chris noticed a change in their child’s behavior. She seemed more skittish and anxious. She also would hide behind Whitney whenever Melissa came over. The couple sensed something was wrong but couldn’t prove it.
Chris and Whitney decided to hide a secret camera to check in on the nanny. They left one night with the camera hidden. When they came back, they dismissed Melissa and checked the camera. It had clearly been moved as it was now facing the wall.
Whitney took the camera and began to review the footage. She was shocked by what she saw. The couple watched in horror as Melissa violently shook and pushed their daughter on the screen. Quickly, they formulated a plan. They called Melissa over to watch their kid that night. When she arrived, she was greeted by the local police.
Thankfully, she was now in custody. It’s hard to imagine that these horror stories could actually happen to you, but it only goes to show careful we need to be when letting strangers into our lives.
