This Woman Places Crayons In a Hot Glue Gun. The End Result Is Surprisingly Awesome!

If you have ever had kids, or even just lived with them, then you likely have an abundance of crayons somewhere in the house. The colorful wax sticks are a childhood staple and it’s easy to see why. They are inexpensive, widely available, non-toxic, and less messy or permanent than paint and markers.

They also never become unusable or dry up, and that’s part of the reason why they usually end up in a box that is put away and forgotten. But not anymore! This fun art project will give you a reason to pull those old crayons out of storage and put them to good use again.

It involves making a cool, vibrant, colorful work of art out of melted crayons. All you really need is a cheap hot glue gun, a sturdy piece of canvas or paperboard, and some crayons of your choosing. Don’t use a nice or expensive glue gun because it will end up ruined and won’t be salvageable.

Also, make sure the canvas material you use is not flimsy because it needs to be able to hold up thick, melted crayon wax and if it bends the wax is more likely to break off of it. Before you start any painting set up a work area and put a drop cloth down because this can get very messy.

Plug in the glue gun and when it’s nice and hot feed a crayon stick into it. Pull the trigger to release the melted crayon and squirt it onto the canvas wherever you’d like it to go. You can drip the melted wax on, spray it, flick it, or try to paint with it in a more controlled fashion.

When your done with one color, grab another stick and repeat the process until you are satisfied with your masterpiece. This fun project is the perfect activity to do with kids, family, and friends. However, make sure to supervise young children at all times and don’t allow them to handle hot glue guns because it can be very dangerous.

The possibilities are endless with this type of project and you can make custom art for any room in the house. Go a step further and add on additional touches to make it even more fun, such as glitter, different paints, a picture or collage background, and so on. It’s not only a great way to use up old crayon pieces, but also a nice way to spend an afternoon making art and bonding with your kids!

She Uses A Stick With Glass On Fire and Presses It Onto Paper. The Result Is An Unexpected Surprise!

Art is an ever expansive expression of life which is limited only by the imagination itself. There are infinite opportunities with endless mediums, methods of using them, and what is created as a result. Some of the best art is made, almost accidentally, when a moment of inspiration comes seemingly out of nowhere in the form of material and excitement.

When allowed enough time and space, the energy and ingredients combine to form a unique masterpiece for the world to enjoy. The beauty of art is often in the process of making it. While the final product can evoke a plethora of sentiment in those who encounter it, it is not the only purpose for its creation.

The artist becomes a conduit for movement of spirit and in turn is gifted with peace, neutrality, as the work provides an outlet for positive and negative power. No matter the skill, effort, or product achieved, there is much to be gained by the practice of crafty execution.

Etsuko Ichikawa demonstrates the elegance of ingenuity with molten glass pyrography. She uses a portable furnace to soften glass for her fire drawings on paper. Melting at 2100 degrees, Etsuko must work quickly to be able to handle the material.

She gracefully drips the hot glass to burn lines in large sheets of paper. After promptly removing the hardening substance, the paper is spritzed to cool and reveals interesting abstract designs which can be artistically interpreted for further appreciation. What do you see in her pictures?

This Guy Puts 5 Colored Markers On His Canvas All At Once. The Results Are An Unexpected Surprise!

It seems that with every passing day more people are writing less by hand. It’s almost as if the idea of taking a pen to paper and writing out words by hand is old fashioned, and it is fast becoming a dying art form. People have instead turned to electronic means of communication and are increasing their use of technology, whether it be via emails, cell phones, messenger apps, or whatever else happens to be new at the moment.

Schools in America are even phasing out teaching cursive to students. National standards do not require such instruction and it’s now commonly viewed as an unnecessary waste of time that will soon be obsolete. Even though the general overall practice of hand writing is fading away, some areas of it are stronger than ever and will never completely disappear. One such area is calligraphy.

Modern calligraphy is an artistically visual take on regular writing, by which the artist adds beautiful flourishes and different effects, to create aesthetically pleasing and carefully executed letters and signs. The ancient practice has roots in both Western and Eastern cultures, with the Chinese, Japanese, Greeks and Romans all extensively using it.

There used to be very strict rules and ways in which each letter was written. Scribes and calligraphers spent their lives studying the exact order of each stroke necessary to form a character in hopes of mastering the art. These days the writing is less rigid and standard, and artists are more free to create different styles and graphic designs.

When it comes to modern practice, master calligrapher Sebastian “Seb” Lester is one of the worlds best. His extensive portfolio of work includes many distinct logos, type illustrations, and custom typefaces that he created for major international companies, and some of which you are more than likely familiar with.

He has developed writings for events like the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, publications that include The New York Times, and corporations such as Nike, Apple, and Intel, to name a few. In the accompanying video you can see some of Seb’s favorite works. YouTube channel Booooooom.com asked him which words were the most fun for him to draw and this was his exact response.

The channel notes in the comment section that Seb personally edited the video and he makes writing look so easy. His steady hand effortlessly glides across the paper creating beautiful and detailed works in their wake.

The images are so clean and polished that the look like they were originally designed with a computer program and then printed out. It’s all very fascinating, and oddly pleasing, to watch him go about his work and guess what he is going to draw next.

To see some of his work check out the video. Who knows, you might be inspired to pick up a pen and start writing or drawing!

He Never Lifts His Pen Off The Paper. But The End Result Is A Stunning Unexpected Surprise!

Recreating someone else’s fine art takes talent but is somehow not that impressive because it isn’t an original work of art. However, if an artist brings some twist to the recreation that is uniquely his own, that is far more exciting. In this video, Chan Hwee Chong, recreates Johannes Vermeer’s masterpiece, “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, through spiral drawing.

I had no idea what was about to be formed before my eyes, as Chong began with a tiny spin of ink and drew a continuous spiral, never lifting his pen from the paper. All he did was vary the thickness of one continuous line and when he was done, what enfolded was a perfect likeness of Vermeer’s work.

I have watched this over and over and cannot fathom how, with just a single brush pen, Chung was able to recreate this masterpiece with all of it’s intricacy, without ever lifting his pen from the paper and continuously drawing in a spiral stroke. You will have to see this to believe it!

Video: This Woman Pours Paint Inside This Hula Hoop. Once She Starts Moving Hypnotizing!

When she arrived at Harvest Music Festival a few years ago, Katie Sunshine had no idea her life would be changed completely by the end of the weekend. She was just there to have fun and listen to music, just like most of her fellow revelers, until something caught her eye that hasn’t let go since. Spinning and twirling before her was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen: a hula hoop girl! Transfixed, she knew from that moment on that she would do whatever it took to become one of those beautiful, mesmerizing fairies.

For the rest of the festival, hula hooping was all she could think about, and upon arriving home she promptly went to the store and picked one up. After that, as she says, “the rest is history”. She started practicing in earnest, taking advantage of every available moment to improve her skills as quickly as possible.

Pretty soon her practice started to pay off, and she was truly becoming a real hula hoop girl just like she had seen on that fateful day. But now that she had so much momentum, she wasn’t about to stop there.

As her beautiful obsession progressed, she became more creative, making her own hoops and incorporating the sport into her art projects. She came up with the idea to design and create a hula hoop that could be filled with paint, with holes in just the right places to allow paint to spray out as she danced.

After watching this video, it’s hard to say whether the paintings or the whirling process she goes through to create them is more enthralling!

Please Share Katie’s beautiful creative process with your friends and family! 🙂
