Dad Spots a Giant Spider On The Ceiling Makes The Worst Possible Move And Things Get So Much Worse
image via – youtube.com
OK, so I am giving you fair warning, if you are an arachnophobic the video you are about to watch below may be more than you can bear! If you are made of tougher stuff, you have to see this. If you are like me and spiders just intrinsically freak you out, you better strap on your seat belt and get ready for something you could never even imagine.
No one likes seeing mice, spiders, or other creepy little pests inside the house. When you spot something crawling around it can leave you feeling uncomfortable in your own home, especially if you happen to suffer from arachnophobia.
Even if you are not one of the estimated 3.5 to 6.1% of the population that is deathly afraid of spiders according to wikipedia, you likely don’t want bugs and mice hanging around where you live and sleep at night. I know for sure this is something intrinsically creepy about these creatures even though I think these fears are pretty much all in my head.
YouTuber “leokimvideo”, from Australia, spots one of the largest spiders I’ve ever seen on the ceiling of his house. No exterminators for him, he’s got a plan to capture it (perhaps to let it go back into nature). By the way if you ever find yourself in this position, do yourself and your family a huge favor and don’t try to be a hero when a spider of this size is involved!
Our hero explains his plan to his little girl, whom we hear off camera, warning him to be careful. The interaction between them is hysterical, as the parent-child roles are clearly reversed. What happens as he attempts to capture this giant huntsman spider in a plastic container…well you have to see it to believe it!
Let us know what you would do in this situation! 🙂

He Films His Dog Digging At The Beach. When He Lifts Up His Head He Reveals THIS Surprise!
image via – youtube.com
A day at the beach is best enjoyed by laying in the sun, jumping in the ocean to cool off and swim in the waves, and digging in the sand! Of course, it’s always better when you have a few friends with you to play with, but even if you don’t you can always meet some new ones at the shore.
At least that’s one dog’s easy going approach to beach life and she sure makes the most of it! While there are lots of smart puppies out there in the world, this one is named Sheila. She’s gentle, sweet, energetic, and loves to make new friends on the fly.
One day she was out enjoying a walk down on Guanico Beach in Panama when she decided to suddenly rustle up a new play partner. It was quite easy for her and all she had to do was bury her nose in the sand, dig a hole, and out popped a little crab!
As you can see from the clip, Sheila was absolutely delighted to see her new friend, but the angry little crustacean was not so pleased about being disturbed. The crab darted around aggressively while throwing up its pincers for protection.
Despite all of his posturing, the cute little crab had nothing to worry about because Sheila was extra gentle while interacting with him. She took care to not step on him and while she snapped at it, she never truly went in for a bite, it was all done in fun.
After chasing and bouncing around on the beach with her new friend, the crab finally had enough and put an end to it. All he had to do was stay very still and soon enough Sheila’s attention shifted elsewhere and she lost interest.
All’s well that ends well and no crabs were harmed during the making of this video.

Nobody Believed My Cat Wakes Me Up Every Day Like THIS. So We Set Up A Hidden Cam To Prove It!
image via – youtube.com
Every cat owner, lover, and caretaker knows how adorable and funny cats can be. Whether they mean to or not, our loveable pets seem to always find a way to make us smile and laugh. That’s part of the reason why people and cats are so close these days, they make us feel happy and loved, even if all they want in return is some tasty food and a warm spot to curl up in.
Just like people, each and every cat has their own personality traits and quirks. Some cats are vocal and meow a lot while others don’t make a peep, some like to drink water directly from the sink faucet, many will make strange alien-like noises when they see a bird or squirrel outside the window, the list is endless!
Those examples are all pretty much standard behaviors that you’ve likely seen before. However, the strange habit that Mimi the cat has is definitely not at all common to felines! Mimi is a very pretty dark gray cat who lives with her human companions and a couple of other kitties.
She looks a lot like a Russian Blue and acts like one too. Every day Mimi wakes up her owners bright and early by knocking on their bedroom door with her back legs at a super high rate of speed. She basically karate kicks the door repeatedly at 100mph until someone eventually wakes from the loud noise she’s making and opens it. The longer it takes, the louder and more insistent her knocks get.
Mimi also does this whenever she wants a door opened, which is somewhat in line with her Russian Blue heritage. The breed is very intelligent and are known for opening doors. Mimi’s method is the easiest way to get it done, by having her owner open it while she gets in a leg work out!

They Were Swimming In Australia Looking For Sea Turtles. Then They Heard an Odd Sound
Some people can only dream of swimming in the open ocean alongside wild whales. For two extremely lucky boaters who were out on the water, that dream became a reality. They now have one heck of a whale tale to tell after their extremely rare and awesome encounter with two of the massive mammals.
Brad Nicholls and his girlfriend Emmy-Rose Curtis had left dry land and gone out in search of sea turtles off the Gold Coast of Australia when they happened across a mother humpback whale and her baby calf. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, the adventurous couple seized the moment and quickly jumped into the water to swim around with the huge mammals.
The whales didn’t seem to mind the human company and even hung around for about an hour or so. That’s much longer than what they typically stay for, which is usually just a couple of minutes. Thankfully Nicholls and Curtis brought along plenty of film equipment since they also happened to be testing out some new camera gear suited specifically for underwater use.
Curtis told the local news station, ABC 7, “we were just playing around underwater with the GoPros and all of a sudden there was something much larger than a turtle there. In ten years I have never seen this type of behavior for whales with a boat, let alone with us in the water.” Both he and Curtis work for whale watching companies and so they’re really familiar with whale behavior and comfortable being in the water with them.
The fact that they see the mammals day after day and never get a chance to be able to swim with them also makes their story all the more sweeter! They managed to snap a few selfies with the massive mammals as well as capture some video footage that you can check out below.
For the most part, the whales stayed near the surface while the pair swam happily around. One of the cooler things that happened during their encounter was when they managed to communicate with the peaceful giants by slapping on the surface of the water and the whales slapped back with their fins.
What began as a routine boat ride for the couple turned into the swim of a lifetime- You have to see the footage to truly appreciate how magical it all was, enjoy!

Mom With Her Spoiled Child Hits This Lady’s Service Dog So She Teaches Em’ a Lesson They Will Never Forget
image via – youtube.com
A dog is probably the only creature on earth who is going to care more about you than you care about yourself. Their selfless devotion over thousands of years of domestication has made them the most popular pet in America and for good reason. There is pretty much the perfect dog out there for just about everyone. Whether you want a small dog for city living, a family dog if you have children, a guard dog for protection or you just want a best bud to hang out with everyday… the skies the limit!
These faithful companions come in all shapes and sizes and it’s really just a matter of finding that good pup that matches your personality perfectly.
Over the years service dogs have begun to really gain in popularity. The initial service dogs first showed up in 1929 when the first Seeing-Eye-Dog Training School opened up in Morristown, New Jersey. These dogs were trained to be the eyes and guides for blind people all across the country.
After they went through extensive training they would be matched with a person who was either born blind or had lost their vision at some point during their life. For many years this Seeing-Eye-Dog school in New Jersey was the only service dog training school in America.
In 1960, service dogs began to extend from only assisting the blind to other handicapped people who would benefit from these dogs skill sets. As the years progressed more and more disabled people began utilizing these amazing animals to make their lives much easier. So many people were starting to gain huge benefits from these wonderful canines as the training techniques developed and evolved.
In the 1980’s people with disabilities and their service dogs gained more and more rights as federal laws were put in place to improve the lives of disabled people. The Air Carrier Access Act in 1986, followed by the Fair Housing Amendments Act in 1988 and finally in 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law. These 3 federal law/acts improved quality of life of handicapped people and in turn their service dogs as well.
Many people tend to confuse ‘service dogs’ with ‘therapy dogs’ however there is a big difference between the two types of canines. As mentioned above, service dogs are used to help handicapped people specifically with whatever their specific handicap might be. They also usually only have one person who they are dedicated to.
On the other hand, therapy dogs are used for emotional and psychological support for people who are going through different situations. Most of the time these pups are sent to schools, nursing homes, hospitals and hospice facilities.
Much like service dogs therapy dogs go through intensive training and a lot of times they are trained to give emotional and mental support to multiple people as opposed to just one human. When they are sent out into the field a lot of times they are accompanied by their handler.
In 1976 a woman named Elaine Smith was really the person responsible for the entire therapy dog movement. Through her specific training techniques and studies she found that these therapy dogs not only gave mental and emotional support but in turn also provided physiological benefits to their humans. Some physiological benefits include lower the blood pressure, giving stress relief, giving an increased overall sense of well being and helping patients overcome different psychological disorders.
Then in 1982 a woman by the name of Nancy Stanley took the concept of a therapy dog and evolved it even further. She opened the Tender Loving Zoo, where she researched the effects that therapy dogs had on disabled adults and children.
As time went on, other animals were brought into the fold under the umbrella of ‘animal-assisted therapy’. This extended to animals such as birds, cats, horses, llamas and in some cases even rats.
They can help the healing of people suffering PTSD, severe anxiety, trauma, alleviate pain post-surgery and research has begun to suggest that therapy dogs increase the feel good hormones in the people they help.
Increases in oxytocin and dopamine have been noted making them almost like anti-depressants without the side effects! Also it has been shown that over cortisol levels (the stress hormone) have in some cases been drastically reduced.
Now that we have thoroughly gone over the history and differences of service and therapy dogs let’s get into today’s story featuring a woman named Lauren Yeo who suffers from a rare disorder that causes her blood pressure to rise randomly, which then leads to her passing out unconscious without warning. Luckily for Laura, she has her faithful companion and service dog Polly who can actually anticipate when her blood pressure is rising to dangerous levels and get her to a safe place before she passes out unconscious without warning.
One afternoon Laura and Polly went to Walmart to run some errands and do a little shopping. Like almost all service dogs Polly wears a vest that clearly labels her as a service dog so that people understand they can’t just run up and pet the dog while it’s working. This tends to be a huge problem for people with service dogs, because people’s first instinct when they see an adorable dog is to run up to the pup and pet it. However, with a service dog this can be very dangerous and it’s important that we raise awareness about this and let people know not to disturb a service dog while they are on duty!
So Laura and Polly were in aisle and she heard a mom and her 3 kids talking about the dog that was down the aisle. She knew this could be trouble because she had been in this position before and usually she tries to avoid this situation at all costs and find a quick exit strategy. Unfortunately Laura and Polly were trapped in an aisle with carts on both sides and the mother and her kids were coming towards her rapidly. She was embracing for impact as she could see the kids were already reaching out their hands and yelling doggy.
Then she tried to get as far to the aisle as she could in order to make the most amount of space as the kids passed by. Then things went from bad to worse…. One of the kids instead of the usual reaching out and petting the dog he actually reached his hand up and smacked the dog! This is when the story takes a turn that Laura never could’ve even imagined….

Cow Cries Thinking She’s Going To Slaughterhouse But She’s Being Saved and Gets Freedom For The First Time
image via – facebook.com
Emma the dairy cow was acting nervous and rightly so. Earlier in the day she had been loaded onto a trailer and driven for miles to a destination that was wholly foreign to her, a place called the Kuhrettung Rhein-Berg Sanctuary in Germany. The dairy farm which she’d called home her whole life had recently closed down, and before rescuers stepped in, she’d originally been headed to the slaughterhouse. Although the dairy farm wasn’t a slaughterhouse the conditions were absolutely terrible and poor Emma the cow thought she was going from bad to worse..
When Emma first started her journey she was terrified as her life was suddenly turned completely upside down. At the start of the video, as she’s being placed in the strange trailer, she can be seen crying visible tears of sadness and fear. It’s heartbreaking to witness, but thankfully not for long. I honestly did not know that cows could actually cry. Seeing this beautiful creature in such a state of fear and sadness truly tore me up inside.
However, once she arrived at the animal sanctuary Emma was released into an open, spacious pasture filled with green grass, rolling hills, and lots of other cows. Watching her take these first steps of freedom and her new life is just such a joy to witness! She cautiously made her way into her new home and before long a few of the other cows came up to greet her.
They all took turns sniffing and checking each other out and soon had enthusiastically surrounded her. It’s amazing and as if they were all reassuring Emma that everything was going to be just fine. By the end of the video it looks like Emma has quickly been accepted into her new family and the group goes running off happily into the field. What started out as a terrifying ordeal ended in the best way possible.
Thanks to a group of dedicated people Emma was not slaughtered but instead was brought to the Kuhrettung Rhein-Berg Sanctuary in Germany to live. The group rescues dairy cows and retires them to a former farm where they can naturally live out the rest of their days. These people are truly human angels with hearts filled with infinite love and care.
Prior to her arrival at the sanctuary, Emma’s life was anything but natural. Cows are best known for producing milk and all of the associated dairy products. In order to make that milk a cow must become pregnant and give birth to a calf, whom it will nurse. However, in the dairy industry young calves are taken away from their mothers shortly after birth so that the milk can instead be collected for human consumption.
This separation of mother and child is done early on in an effort to cause minimal stress to both, but it’s also done repeatedly in order to keep cows producing milk. Cows like Emma who end up at the sanctuary are retired, in that they’re no longer impregnated and therefore don’t produce any more milk.
Fortunately for Emma and all of the other rescued dairy cows, they get to stay on the farm sanctuary. Her life has changed dramatically for the better and now she’s able to live alongside other happy cows and can do all the normal, natural things that cows love do. It’s a happy ending that she, and countless others like her, deserve.
